Watches NEWS
Eating at Five Guys is not just bad for your waistline
So this past weekend against my better judgement I decide to stop in to the local Five Guys to indulge in a burger for lunch. All is good until I leave and the door which was clearly set with too much tension decides to smack back on me while exiting and naturally has to wack my AP Diver. I don't baby my watches as can be seen from the other small marks on the watch but I nearly cried when I saw the damage near the bezel screw at 1 o'clock. Not to minimize the love for my AP Diver vs another watch BUT I had my PP Aquanaut 5167 in my hand that morning and I decided on wearing the Diver instead. Marks like this are never good on ANY watch but the door probably would have completely ruined the Aquanaut. I think this mark is going to drive me nuts so the watch will likely go to Clearwater much earlier than it would have normally.
Wow, AP - I'm a fan
Been trying Daytonas trying to find a dial that feels right - I want a gold watch with leather strap - and nothing seemed to really click. Then I tried on a rose gold royal oak day date with brown leather strap. I put it on and it just clicked, looked and felt 'right'... just a shame that it is listed 24,500!!! Will try and find a used one now though at a price that works :)
Anyone who owns both a RO Dual Time 26120 and a Rolex GMT 116710?
If so, could you please post a few picture of the watches next to each other?I am considering getting the RO white dual time 26120, but there's only one AD in the vicinity of where I am living at the moment (non-US).So I would like to see how the size is visually next to the current Rolex GMTIIc.Can anyone help out?
New (to me) Big Size PO
So I just pulled the trigger on this PO and I'm loving it. I was worried about the size since I have small hands, but I think I'm pulling it off. I haven't resized it yet. What do you guys think? A link, half a link, or should I just leave it as is? I don't mind the current setup as I like my watches a little loose, since I never remove them even when asleep. I'm just concerned that if I leave it this loose, it would damage (stretch?) the bracelet. Any insight would be highly appreciated.
My SubC with a view
Out for vacation in fabulous Las Vegas and staying at the Wynn! Room comes with a fabulous view! Am hoping to maybe get lucky and find my sub C LV while I'm here!
