PP 5167 or AP 15710 ???
Looking for a Rubber strap PP or AP for my next watch. Definitely PP or AP and definitely rubber. Also looking to spend only $15-$20K.I like the PP 5167 which was my leading candidate, but the more I look at the new AP SS Divers (15710), the more I am liking them (probably black over white, though both are nice). The thing I like about the AP divers compared to other ROO is they are only 42mm, as ROO 44mm is just a little bit big for me (but not too much though). I tried the AP 41mm 15400 and that size was fine. My wrist is 6.5 inches (about 16.5 cm).ConsiderationsSizing on my wristComfort on wristLook and finishCoolness factor - which turns more heads and gets more complimentsDoesn't have to dress up too much.Durability and resistance to scratchesAlso is aquanaut going to remain same style? 15710 is new this year, so I am less worried it will go out of style.Curious for feedback of anyone owning either or better yet anyone have both? Thanks
pressure testing?
About to go on a trip, and was planning on wearing my 15202. Not planning on diving or anything like that, but was wondering if there's any reason taking it to a local independent for a pressure test would be an issue.
Has Omega "tightened up" their dealer network?
For many years I've seen Omega carried by somewhat low end jewlery stores. Now Omega has company boutiques. Has Omega cut loose a lot of these less exclusive dealers?
Something Old & Something New
Just a few pics of my two Seamasters. The speedy bracelet on the newer was quickly replaced with the pictured Hirsch strap. Amazingly comfortable. The vintage is acting as my dress watch at the moment.
GMT BLNR Today or Wait for SS Pepsi
Looking for input here, it's something I'm seriously considering. In short, I have the opportunity to pick up a BLNR from my AD within a month's time. I could have had one last weekend but I told my sales guy that given how close we are to Basel, I just had to wait and see what happens. If the new release was going to be a Coke on jubilee, I would have ran back to him to get a BLNR as fast as possible. The Pepsi release mixes things up though.I'm already on a wait list for the Pepsi with small deposit at an AD in TX where I have some family. They wouldn't take full payment since I guess they haven't received the manifest yet and probably don't know for sure when the new GMT is coming in and how many they're getting. From my perspective, the attractive qualities of the Pepsi include:1) classic color scheme. I don't own a GMT yet -- if I were to add one to my collection, this would be a great model to have2) more fun and flashy looking than the BLNR. I have some other Rolex watches I could
