SIHH 2013 Preview: Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Grande Complication
This year, Audemars Piguet celebrated the 40th anniversary of the original Royal Oak. Next year marks two decades of the larger, sportier Royal Oak Offshore, and Audemars Piguet plans to commemorate the milestone with the release of the extremely limited Royal Oak Grande Complication. The watch makes its debut at the SIHH watch fair in January, but the company has offered a tantalizing glimpse of it now.Audemars Piguet launched the Royal Oak Offshore in 1993, but the family-owned watch company, based in Le Brassus, Switzerland, has a history of making grand complications that stretches back to 1882. Thanks again for all the feedback in my last thread, I really did appreciate it.When it came down to it, I wanted something different that pushed me out of my normal collection, and this piece did it.The BEST part about this piece for me is how it is constantly different looking in different lighting. Everytime I look at it, it is different. The best angle, which I haven't caught on camera yet, is when I am outside under blue skies, the piece just beams with a touch of blue radiance, like when a clean diamond is outside. I find myself constantly looking at new subtle details I hadn't noticed prior.I left the plastic on these pictures, I finally decided to keep it, as my AD gave me three days with it to make sure I was happy. The milling on the steel is impeccable!Glad to be part of the AP club, this one is a keeper!Here are two small pics that show the drastic difference in lighting in the span of 5 minutes.

1171 bracelet on Speedmaster
Can I fit a new Omega 1171 bracelet with 633 end pieces on a new 2016 Speedmaster? I'm sure I can but thought I had better double check first. I much prefer the look of 1171 bracelet - it looks more vintage.Thank you
