Richard Mille RM 028 Americas Limited Edition Diver’s Watch
Richard Mille unveils a new limited edition of his automatic diver's watch, designed for and exclusively available at retailers in North and South America. The RM 028 Americas is a 30-piece edition featuring red and white details on a black DLC titanium case. Look inside for wallpaper, pricing, and launch dates. With the introduction of the RM 028 in 2009, Richard Mille combined the exceptional case and skeletonized movement that are his hallmarks with the specific features required by divers. The RM 028 adheres to diver's watch ISO norm 6425 with water resistance of 300 meters (30 ATM) and a unidirectional bezel. The round, 47mm case is more complex than it may first appear. The nearly 1000-foot water resistance is achieved with a three-part case construction and 22 torque screws, with complete integration of the lugs into the case system. This configuration prevents accidental movement of the bezel while diving. The RM 028’s skeletonized automatic caliber incorporates a rotor wit
The Streets Of London: Watch Hunting With A Watchmaker
Please enjoy the following article contributed by legendary watchmaker Peter Roberts of England. Peter's new self-named brand is Peter Roberts and is about to release their first watch. It is 1969 and the streets of London are still swinging. As a young horology student, at Hackney Technical College, I am wondering where I will be able to get my hands on some top quality watches for practice. Surprisingly, owners of fine watches are not willing to risk their precious timepieces to an impecunious, novice watchmaker like myself. As soon as I was old enough to roam free, I discovered the wonderful delights of exploring London on foot, putting real life memories and images to those evocative, Monopoly Board Game street names. Now of course, I found the Kings Road, Carnaby Street and Soho, enjoyed the Royal Parks, and in the summer months, the unfeasibly short mini-skirts. But I had, and still have, this obsession C watches C so these three expensive (on the Monopoly board) streets, Oxford St
Temption CM05 Watch
I have a really strong affinity to the small, independent German watch maker Temption. I have two of their watches, the CGK203 and the Cameo (click on those links for my reviews). Each year they try to release a new model, and I eager await what they have to share. Last year it was the beautiful Cameo, and this year is the CM05. While the Cameo was a totally new design for the brand, the CMO5 is more of an evolution on their classic look. Emphasis here is on build quality, and the simple design aesthetic that made the Cameo as popular as it was.Temption is proud that the CM05 is totally screwed together. There are no rivets, studs, or pressed points (though the sapphire crystal might be an exception). As such, you can see the screws in the caseback and all over the bracelet. The case itself is in high-grade steel and 42mm wide and 11mm tall (very wearable). The case is 100 meters water resistant as well. The sapphire crystal is 2.6mm thick and domed for strength (also AR coated on the
Ladies Deville Prestige 4375.71.00 Advice
I want to buy my wife a watch. She does not like Rolex's in her self-imposed price range of $5000 - 6500. We went out and looked this weekend and of course everything she did like was $10,000 or better but she does not want to spend that much. She is very frugal I am the one saying if you love it, buy it! Then we saw an Omega that was quite nice and in her range it was the Deville Prestige 4375.71.00 she decided to think about it but I think I might sneak off and buy it. It looked really good on her and she did really like it.I was just wondering what was the verdict on this watch?
PAM 602 - Slytech Daylight
Got to say this one's the nicest white dial PAM ever aside from original the 5218-207/A IMHO. The minute track on the dial and fauxtina make it quite unique. Doubt many will be on wrists in the wild so I'll be wearing mine ;)
