Panerai Luminor Chrono Daylight Titanium PAM 327 Watch Released
Panerai is pretty regular about their watch release schedule. We tend to get a few new ones each year. With the pre Basel announcements coming up, I expect to see a lot from Panerai this year. One new announcement is the Luminor Chrono Daylight Titanium, which is the ref. PAM 327. This Panerai is distinctly modern in its approach with a broad demographic appeal. I am no Panerai historian, but it is easy to tell that there is mostly "new direction" design accents in this watch. Ignoring the watch itself for a moment, looking at the titanium bracelet indicates a new, more angular look to the masculine watches. Older Panerai metal bracelets featured some really unique curved links. The PAM 327 has what are arguably something simple, plainer Y-shaped links. The look in nice, but not exciting - and the small size of the links adds to wearing comfort, but gone is a lot of the character. The dial itself shows the metallic blue that people go crazy over. It is a great color, and when done right
Hands-On: The Arnold & Son Golden Wheel
Arnold & Son is offering their take on the historic "wandering hours" concept with their new Golden Wheel watch. Introduced at Basel earlier this year, the Golden Wheel is reminiscent of modern watches like Audemars Piguet’s Star Wheel collection, and Urwerk’s imaginative UR-103. The wandering hours complication itself dates back to the mid-17th century in the form of table clocks, and made its way into pocket watches by the following century. Arnold & Son is putting their own classical spin on the complication with the Golden Wheel. 1 OF 3 The Golden Wheel is unmistakably Arnold & Son. A variety of materials, decoration, and layers work together to form an unorthodox dial. A grey base dial plate of NAC with Geneva striping provides contrast for the transparent discs with gold numerals. Time is read against a mother-of-pearl plate that spans the top of the dial between 10 and 2 o’clock (on a more traditional dial). Much like the AP
Audemars 2121/3 movement
So, I recently received an AP in as scrap gold. After talking with a broker on these forums, I was informed the watch wasn't overly collectible. I was wondering if anyone knew someone that made custom cases? Something simple and elegant and inline with AP's current lineup. The 80's are gone and i just can't see myself wearing that big hunk of gold around my wrist( 94.8 dwt with movement)I also was thinking of trying to track down a vintage Blue dial and hands and was thinking of putting it in white gold.Any thoughts or ideas?

Has Rolex Become the New Gold Rush?
From what I'm seeing these days with depleted stock and soaring demand it seems obtaining a Rolex hot model is like an arbitrage score if you will. I've read many threads about in comings and getting the call of what they've been waiting for but as of late it seems to be turning or maybe it's just me. We all love watches hence why we're here. I've been able to source the usual suspects is terms of hot models building a relationship with the AD and an occasional trusted TRF seller but now it's like get it then flip for a quick buck. Believe it or not I've turned down a ceramic Daytona and just yesterday a SS Skydweller with a blue dial. My AD said they just got it and if I'm interested I can buy it then and there. As temped as it would be to buy it then call DavidSW I just find it a bit shady. I'm hoping over time Rolex can meet demand and maintain the prestige of the brand. This peeling stickers and holding warranty cards is just nonsense and only adds fuel to the fire me thinks. This
