Introducing The A. Lange & S?hne Richard Lange Tourbillon "Pour le Mrite," Now In White Gold (Live Pictures, Pricing)
Guten Tag again! A. Lange & S?hne sure is on a special-edition roll. We recently brought you the Langematik Perpetual in white gold, and we're happy to say that the Richard Lange Tourbillon "Pour le Mrite" is getting the same treatment. These new editions are exciting because they give us another chance to take detailed looks at what makes these watches great. So, let's look on. 2 OF 18 Firstly, the dial is argent-colored solid-silver. This creates a noticeable contrast to the blued-steel hands and virtually flawless printing of the overlaying subdials. The case, in?finely polished gold with curved lugs, measures in at 41.9 mm by 12.2 mm. Some might think it too wide, but the design actually lives up to the model's lineage. The layout of the subsidiary dials is such that they are centered on the corners of an isosceles triangle. Here's an abridged Lange history lesson. In late-18th-century Dresden, Johann Heinrich Seyffert was known as a principal pioneer of Saxon watchm

Questions about the aquanaut
So I'm interested in the 5167 as a possible option as the next watch and have a few questions about it... 1) It's 40mm- anybody with 6 wrists care to chime in on if it looks too big or not? I've heard this wears bigger than 40mm2) Tropical strap- how durable is it? Does it last as long as a leather strap? Does it get sticky where lint collects on it? Does it crack after awhile? Any problems or complaints with it?3) I've read around that the rotor is loud. How loud? I don't want my wrist to be making a noticeable whizzing sound during a meeting or something4) Is it easy to find a leather strap from say, Camille Fou and easy to put it on the aquanaut? What about adding on the clasp onto a leather strap?5) What does the dial look like- in some pics it looks like a fairly straight foward black dial and other picks it almost looks like it's got a black Rolex sunburst type look to it?AND regarding the 5167R...1) how dark is the brown strap?2) Is it easy to match up with clothes, for
SD43 vs Black Bay comparison pics
In response to a forum member on another thread, I took a couple quick photos of my Sea Dweller 43mm vs the Black Bay 41 Blue.Really interesting to me how the Black Bay is sort of slotted in between the Sea Dweller and Submariner in terms of size. The Black Bay has the same lug-to-lug dimensions (50mm) and bracelet width (22mm) as the Sea Dweller, yet has similar thickness (<13mm) and diameter as the Submariner (41mm vs 40mm). Definitely sits on the wrist much differently than the SD43, much flatter since the case back is nearly flat. Just some random observations. I'm loving the idea of having both more and more. Totally different watches even with some of the similarities.
