Watches NEWS
Your Feedback Is Requested In Regard To The Future Of Watch Media
Sometimes mystery isn't a good thing, especially when it comes to media that consumers trust and follow with regularity. So with that said, I'd like to begin a conversation with watches-dealer's audience on the topic of how you feel the site can continue to serve you as we grow. When you go into a store and purchase something you immediately know how that store makes money, as you just left with a little bit less funds in your bank account. When it comes to media, and internet websites, sometimes the transparency of how a company works and derives revenue is less straight-forward. The watches-dealer team doesn't like to make rash decisions on how we want to grow, because at the end of the day, we want to make sure that watches-dealer always remains a valuable resource for consumers and its followers. The Issue: Sustainable Growth & TransparencyWhat is this conversation really all about? It is about you as an audience and watch community member offering feedback on how we might grow
Chaumet Dandy Chronograph Automatic Watch Available On James List
In the US, one of the less known LVMH watch brands is Chaumet. LVMH, for those who don't already know, owns brands such as Zenith, Louis Vuitton, Tag Heuer, Hublot, and Dior. I really enjoy some of Chaumet's watch designs, but with models names like "Dandy" they might need a marketing refresh to be US market viable (if that is even in the cards for them). Lets not dwell on trivial marketing issues and focus on one of their cool watches from a few years ago. The Parisian brand released this Chronograph model back in 2006 I believe. It is a bi-compax style chronograph watch with a round face in a cushion case. Probably the best conceived cushion style case around. This is aided by the interesting design of the lugs.Chaumet is all about modern art deco design. Part of that is a play on asymmetry. You'll note the "racing stripes" (as I call them) on the dial that flow into the strap. This is a common element in many of their watches. The black dial here is hard to appreciate in images. It h
iWatch. What are you going to do?
Well, if you follow tech gossip like I do, it seems imminent now, that the iwatch will most likely be released this year. I love gadgets just as much as i love watches, but I still don't know what I'm gonna do regarding the iwatch. It supposedly has some amazing cutting edge sensors to measure everything in your life. There seems to be credible information that it even has a sweat sensor that will be able to read different health markers from your sweat. To me, this is amazing, but am I willing to wear an iwatch instead of one of my watches? Not sure. And if you put the iwatch in your watch rotation and use it sporadically, you lose the benefits of tracking your health etc.So, what are you going to do, has anyone thought about it?

Screwdown Crown
When you fully screw down your crown does it always end up in the same position? For example when I want the Omega logo to be facing right side up doesn't matter how many times I try and how many times I start to push it in, in different positions and screw the Omega logo down on my Seamaster it always end up facing down to the left.
