Watches NEWS
Been bitten by the AP bug...
Ok guys, I've recently seen the Diver in person and am kind of hooked. I'm surprised; I have rather small wrists and am not into larger watches but the diver... my god I don't know what it was...Anyway, I'm thinking about selling my Rolex Hulk (don't tell the guys on the Rolex boards ) and putting the money toward a white Diver.Maybe this infatuation will wear off, I don't know. But for now I'd like some more knowledge about the quality and service of AP as I've never owned one before:1. How robust is the movement? I like my watches to be able to take anything I throw at them and have heard good things about AP but how do they compare movement-wise to a Rolex or even Omega calibre?2. How are service costs? I've heard horrid things about AP service, and don't know how true they are. If anybody has any stories regarding service experience and cost I would love to hear them.3. What kind of price should I be looking at paying? If buying at an AD, can I expect any possible discount on the w
Help me identify this one.
I am looking for a little help identifying this Omega reference for a friend. His father bought it new and gave it to him several years ago. My Omega knowledge is extremely limited so I told him I would post it and see what we might learn from the community.Love to know:Model nameReference numberApprox year madeDoes it all look originalAny interesting back-stories to this referenceWhere can i Point him to learn more (website, book, etc)OtherHe only sent me one pic and said there were no reference numbers on the back of the case. But I can get more if that would be helpful. Thanks in advance for any info or insight.
Smaller Skydweller?
Greeting to TRF. I love the Skydweller and its complications but feel its a bit big on my wrists. Not sure I can pull it off! Most of my watches are 36-40mm. My 40mm watches seem to be the sweet spot for me. Anybody of the opinion that Rolex could/would squeeze that complication into a smaller package? Never know what the mother ship may do but I'll add this to my wish list! Thanks for your thoughts and wear em' in great health!
Quick question for a 116610 bracelet expert
Should I be able to unscrew the pictured Link (closest to the clasp)? Trying to put the half link on the 6oclock side to balance the links on the wrist. Thanks!!!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
