Tissot Heritage Navigator 160th Anniversary Review
It's been a trend as of late with some of the larger brands that have been around for a while to bring back a classic model from their archives. Whether as a special edition or as a retro mainstay of their line, these reissues stand out amongst modern watches, often surpassing them in style. Tissot continues this trend with a complex watch that is a dazzling today as it must have been when it was first released; the Heritage Navigator 160th Anniversary. The story of the Tissot Heritage Navigator 160 starts in 1953 with Tissot's 100th anniversary. The 1950's marked the dawn of commercial air travel. It was trendy, sexy and luxurious, so it is of no surprise that watch brands began designing for the jet-set. Famously, you have watches like the Rolex GMT-Master, with its iconic "Pepsi" blue and red bezel as well as GMT function for tracking multiple time zones. Looky Looky! Thanks to Train-Time B01 !! !!
Thanks to Train-time or i would never have found such a great deal from an AD...I will get better shots later when I get a new lamp I ordered...I cant tell you how nice this is, when you wind the crown it feels like silk...The bracelet is so complicated it took my local guy 30 minutes to size it, very complicated but very very nice...
Finally joined the Omega Club!!!
Thanks to Fr. John for his help yesterday. I purchased from his AD yesterday and received tremendous service as a result. Now about the watch -- The size is perfect, 42mm, and it fits very comfortably on my wrist (6.50+). It's a a true icon and a work of art. I have a 372 that I love and was on the hunt for a watch that can take a beating and go anywhere with me. My choices were narrowed down to: the Pam 005, the Speedy Pro and either a sub c or this discontinued sea dweller. My gut said speedy pro now and maybe add a rolex later on. I think I made the right call here. I have a feeling I'll be wearing this a lot. Thanks to everyone who posts here on the forums. My due diligence was made easy by searching all the various threads over the last several months. Now the wrist shots: (I don't know why the pics are posting upright like that).
Incoming! Hulk :)
Just picked this up today from my local AD in Santa Monica. Friend did me a favor and was able to get me it. Absolutely love it! Goes perfectly with my bluesy and white RO. No more watches for at least 6 months. Also, shoutout to Takuya for being an awesome seller. Bought one from him as well and ended up selling it to my friend.Funny, as I walked in to the AD there were two guys trying to buy one...made it even more special LOL
My 2 watch collection. Im done!
After years of flipping and experimenting all types of Rolex watches I decided that this is my perfect two! The now discontinued SDc4000 and the new Datejust 41. I can honestly say that IM DONE! For now lol..I feel blessed to own these classics and I'm grateful for the information obtained from the TRF. Thank youAttachment 1Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
