Good evening chaps. Just wondering on the Luminors, why some models have the markings on the crown protector. My 390 doesn't.

Just picked this up in a trade. Missed my old 448 and needed a Rad back in the collection. Still not sold on the dial, but it is growing on me. I think that I still prefer the Cali dials though...
