Navitimer 01 LE
Does the Nav 01 LE have options...like a buckle or clasp leather strap? Is it weird that I have any opportunity to buy a 15XX/2000 BNIB complete with papers stamped this past March? This is some really old new stock, right? They are wanting $6300, but with none on the market that I can find, not sure if this is good deal?I've only had one Breitling (Bentley GT) and lost pretty big when selling. I would like to add a chrono with date in this size range. I sold my Daytona due to it's smaller size and no date. I also figured I could put a mesh bracelet on the Navi for a classy summer option.Any help/tips/opinions is greatly appreciated as I try to add a chrono with date.Thanks.
Speedmaster Racing lume
Thought I might try capturing a lume shot.. interesting result! To my eyes, the lume looks green - but whenever I took a photo it always came out blue.I tried fiddling around with white balance, but it always came out blue. Bizarre. I tried with both my old, crappy canon point and shoot and with my iphone. Same result.Anyway, here's the shot.
SMP bracelet links
Does anyone know how many links there are in the SMP bracelet? Thanks.
This or that? 5726 vs. 5711
Apologies in advance for another this or that thread, but I am having horology nightmares as I try to close in on something..... Only one place to turn at this point. I thought my mind was made up on the 5711 and now this morning for some reason I started thinking this might be a mistake. All last week I was browsing annual calendar references and I think it has gotten to me. I don't own anything beyond a date complication. I own a 5167A that I have not been wearing a ton (I have been going more and more to the AP Forged Carbon Diver for a rubber strap). Anyway, here are my thoughts:5711 (blue dial)1. Most gorgeous blue dial I've ever seen.2. Slim and elegant.3. Hard to find, but easy to resell if I go nuts down the road later which has been known to happen. 5726 (charcoal dial on bracelet)1. Dial options are meh.... in my humble opinion. I would get the charcoal and would get it on bracelet. 2. Beefier case which is a pro for me personally.3. Will finally own a complicated watch but
What would you choose? A 5036/1G or 5040J?
First post on the forums! I've been a member since November but have been lurking and learning a whole lot. Went from a set of forgettable Movados to a small collection of timepieces that serve very specific purposes in my simple life: right now I have a 3940P, 5711/1A, 3919J and a Rolex 114270. The people in this forum helped a whole lot in terms of helping me field sources, choosing between ADs and greys, etc. - for this, many, many thanks!I'm looking to add another piece to my set and I'm faced with an interesting decision:1. The 5036/1G - annual calendar in white gold. I like the metal bracelet (helps that it's a whole lot of gold, too), and I love the calendar and moonphase function. Metal bracelets would be very welcome when things heat up during the Spring and summer - leather straps just don't last given my sweat patterns and volume!2. The 5040J - tonneau case perpetual calendar. To lower the price and make it comparable to the 5036/1G option I'll need to trade in my 391
