Hands-On: The Cartier Tourbillon Mystrieux Azur Pendant Watch (Live Pics, Full Specs, And Pricing)
"When the commissionaire had gone, Holmes took up the stone and held it against the light. It’s a bonny thing,' said he. 'Just see how it glints and sparkles. Of course it is a nucleus and focus of crime. Every good stone is. They are the devil’s pet baits. In the larger and older jewels every facet may stand for a bloody deed. This stone is not yet twenty years old. It was found in the banks of the Amoy River in southern China and is remarkable in having every characteristic of the carbuncle, save that it is blue in shade instead of ruby red. In spite of its youth, it has already a sinister history.'" – Sherlock Holmes: The Adventure Of The Blue Carbuncle 1 OF 9 This might seem a rather ominous way to start off a look at one of the most spectacular objects we saw at the Salon this year: the Cartier Tourbillon Mystrieux Azur, a gem-set pendant tourbillon watch, and a unique piece. Omega Speedmaster Apollo 11 45th Anniversary (Images)
Did a write up on the Apollo 11 45th Anniversary here. Must admit my first thoughts were a bit meh but there is quite a bit of attention to detail - plus it is quite well priced. What were your thoughts?
Cyclops Size on GMT Series
Hi guys, was out with a bunch of friends the other day, and we all laid out our watches on the table. I noticed the date on my TT is much smaller than my friend's BLNR from the pic attached. My watch is dated 2015, while his is 2017. Anybody know the reason behind this? Did Rolex update the cyclops after 2015 or something? Thanks.
INCOMING ...SD43...10 day wait!
I had been sitting on waiting lists in my area that gave me wait time of 1/2 years, but I am a very impatient person, and toyed with going grey, but found an AD that said if I paid in full it could be 2-3 months, but likely very less time.I placed my order & paid in full on March 3rd, and it came on March 13!I think that it certainly pays off to deal with an AD that doesn't do lists, as I'd still be waiting the 1-2 yearsIts an amazing piece, substantial without being cumbersome, very comfortable, not heavy and I think my favorite part is the mirror black fully graduated bezelThanks and shout outs to all the posters of the SD43 on here, it was great to hear so many opinions in my research before making my decision. Also, I had the divers extension removed at the advice of TRF membersCheersDweezil
