Celebrating The 100th Anniversary Of The First Chronometer Certified Wristwatch By Rolex
As proudly stated on their dials, all Rolex timepieces manufactured today are?certified chronometers, meaning that every single one of them has been?rigorously tested for?timekeeping accuracy. With that in mind, we could C and perhaps we do C take the accuracy of a Rolex watch for granted, so now let's take a look back in time and discover how Rolex have created?the first chronometer certificate wristwatch ever, tested and awarded?by the incredibly demanding Kew Observatory exactly 100?years ago. Those intrigued by the provenly superior accuracy of timepieces will surely?be familiar with COSC (Contr?le Officiel Suisse des Chronomtres), the official Swiss chronometer testing institute that has been issuing certificates since 1973. The history of chronometer certification goes back hundreds of years however,?as these?clocks and pocket watches?of exceptional quality and timekeeping performance?actually served as navigation instruments?on the decks of ships sailing across the seas. Visit to AP Boutique - Some new discoveries
Visited AP boutique in Singapore yesterday and peruse the rather rare RO Skeleton 15305 and also the increasingly hard to find RO Jumbo 15202.Here are some snap shots to share : The RO Skeleton will be a great addition to watch collectors that like to peer at watch movements. It is however, IMO not that practical as a watch because it is kind of hard to decipher the time with a quick glance due to the hands kind of disappear amidst the multitude of components. As for the RO Jumbo, it's certainly a beautiful piece, and the black display which shows off the customized JLC 2121 movement is exquisite.
Picked up this beauty today.
Not many of them around.
Price Comparison of Pateks in Asia
Hi, I will be traveling through Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. I was wondering if anyone has input on where I can get the best deals out of these 3 countries. I will be visiting their capitals. Thanks!Sorry for another ignorant question but for these countries are they duty free and tax free? If they aren't tax free is there a tax refund system such as VAT refund in Europe. Thanks so much! I have never been to these places before. Would I be able to get them to budge on the sticker price by any chance?
16613 sub
Howdy guys,An opportunity came along for a 2015 16613 two tone 18k blue face/bazele, no papers, it is authentic, alway loved the look but avoided anything sport rolex that is not stainless as I knew they had harder time retaining value.... What does the market give to these models if I was to move on it? I see them on line from 7-12k used.... Thats all over the map.... Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
