Selling Watches The "Wired" Way
Wired magazine isn't the only good place for watch brands to advertise, but it definitely is a good placements - an no, they aren't paying me to say that. Filling up with more and more watch advertisements, the approach many brands have taken with their pages in this magazine for the socialized nerd, can provide important lessons on how to promote watches in this day and age.I've been reading Wired magazine for about a decade now. Not everything single issue, but it is one of the few magazine subscriptions that I have kept. To those not familiar with the magazine, it is an interesting publication. In a pre-Internet world it was a news and trend guide for the tech culture. After the Internet itself became the spot for breaking news, gossip, and breakthroughs, Wired turned into a something more literate. Like a non-fiction New Yorker for computer programmers. Today the quality magazine covers culture, gadgets, entertainment, technology, and science with a lighthearted - often cynically h

FC 44mm vs Trulli
I am working on updating my AP collection and have opportunity to trade FC 44mm and SOME cash for Trulli.I like my FC 44mm but its a bit too dark for me. Keeping it and adding Trulli doesn't make sense in my collection. I have to pick one of them. let's vote pleaseFC 44mm vs Trulli
Date wheel question
I was winding/setting a DJ yesterday from stopped and do I want I usually do and set the hands to 6. In this case I wound back, can’t remember why but I did. The date reversed. At the 6 I decided to set the date first. As I proceeded I felt the gear in what I assume was a clutch position, it wasn’t engaged, I felt resistance. I stopped and wound forward, knowing I was at the 6am and date did not change. I carried on with the hands and it proceeded to click solidly at the 12am date change but only after an additional 24 hr revolution. All is good now, date wheel was changing as it should too. Question is, what happened originally, was it because I wound back and the date mechanism wasn’t fully engaged by winding back to 6am? Just curious to learn for the future.
