Glashtte Original Introduces the Senator Cosmopolite
The highlight of Glashtte Original’s Baselworld 2015 showcase was the Senator Cosmopolite, an all-new watch with an all-new manufacture movement. The Senator Cosmopolite is intended for the world traveler: it combines an easy-to-read, dual time-zone display with all the high-quality workmanship of German haute horlogerie. Let’s take a look. The dial of the Senator Cosmopolite has plenty going on. All its hands are made of blued steel; the central hour and minutes are poire-shaped. These hands tell the local time, which corresponds to the time-zone indicator C two apertures (for standard and for daylight saving) found at 8 o’clock. It has a big date display at 4 and a day/night indicator at 9; both of these correspond to the local time. The subdial at 12 o’clock is devoted to the home time: two hands provide indication in 12 hours, while a small aperture tells day from night. The home subdial also has Arabic numerals on the hours to differentiate it from the large

The Arnold & Son DBS and DBG Watches
Arnold & Son has announced two new models into their Instrument range of Swiss high-end mechanical watches. The new models, called the DBS and DBG, offer dual time displays integrated into a single movement with each display being managed by a distinct barrel, gear train, escapement and balance. These new models are physically very similar and feature the same 44mm case, anti reflective sapphire crystal, sapphire display back and both are water resistant to 30m. Speaking to their complications, they are similar but have been designed to suit different purposes. With that in mind, let's take a look at the DBS.The Arnold & Son DBS (short for "Double Balance Sidereal time") offers separate views of two different measurements of time. The left dial of the DBS is marked with a star emblem as this dial measures Sidereal time. Sidereal is a time scale based on the measurement of the Earth's rotation relative to the fixed stars in the sky and is most notably used by astronomers. While
Why I love my GMT
I bought the Omega GMT as a cheaper alternative to the GMT Master and I still hope I will own a GMT Master (old style) before I die, but I have been very pleased with the SmP GMT and at the risk of boring you guys, here is what I like about it's design. But first a picture or two. (Oh no, not again you say). Now why I like the watchIt's pure function over design:- Oversized markers on a black backround are very easy to see in poor lighting conditions- Layers of Superluminova make night vision easy- The 24 Hr hand is red making it easy to see the 2nd timezone at a glance- Boxed date lead the eye quickly to the date function- Oversized military style hands - again easy to see in all lights and no light- Two tone bezel is not essential but gives a quick estimate of night and night- Crown is deeply recessed for protection and the bracelet is nice, but not flashy.- Non hacking adjustable hour hand and a bezel for a third time zone make this a real GMTWhat traveller would want more? Now, why
Advice on buying Rolex in Spain
Hi all,I'm new to this forum but definitely not new to Rolex. So i'm planning to get my first Rolex here in Barcelona and I've been told the tax refund is 18% when I claim it back from the global blue office at the airport. However upon checking the global blue official site calculator, it's showing only 15.7% for a 10k purchase. So if any of you have done this can you please share your experience? Thanks in advance!
