GIVEAWAY: March LA.B AM3 Marron Watch
Once again, March LA.B teams up with watches-dealer to offer a beautiful watch as a giveaway item this September. This month you can enter for a chance to win the mechanical AM3 Marron Automatic watch. This is the 38mm wide version of the retro-styled round AM3 with the reddish/brown style case (hence the name "Marron" which is brown in French), and perforated real buffalo leather (with green lining). We like the copious amounts of detailing and green-colored font on the date disc. Inside the March LA.B AM3 is a Swiss ETA 2892 automatic movement with a custom rotor visible through the case back window. Retail price for this watch is $1,249. Enter for a chance to win this lovely watch below. To Enter You Must: 1. Levi's Mix Tape Watch: A Little Tech Nostalgia On Your Wrist
It's amusing how I have reached a point when I begin to think about my past in terms of the "then current" technology. I might look at a VHS cassette tape and think fondly to bygone years when that was how we watched movies. Such nostalgic thoughts are increasing in frequency as mainstream technology quickly goes in and out of modernity. Do you remember the roughly 15-year period from the early to mid 1980s to the late 1990s when it was common to present someone with a mix tape? Even with the advent of compact discs, it was easier to create a mix tape versus a writable CD, as it involved technology that was still complex to use and expensive in the late 1990s. Now the mix tape and the CD (practically) are phased out. We are left with virtually intangible musical playlists that we send and receive. So the concept of presenting someone with a personalized soundtrack still exists, but it is just not the same. The poorest person with almost no technical knowledge could assort a mix of songs
Anyone tried ABC watchwerk or alternative service center for your AP?
Hi, I want to service and refinish my RO, has anyone tried ABC watchwerk in Los Angeles before or other third party service center? I have tried ABC for my vintage Rolexes an they were great. I tried my Hong Kong AD for service quotation but the quotation took a long long long time (One year, because sent back to swiss) and quite expensive (over 4K usd), need to change some parts. I am wondering if there are any good alternatives competible or better than the AD Spa? Many thanks in advance.
If you're thinking of brushing out PCL's.......
DO IT! It took me about a year to finally decide have it done. I only regret I didn't do it sooner. I highly recommend LA Watchworks. $90 + shipping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
