Hautlence Coming to North America
Swiss luxury watch brand Hautlence has announced a new agreement under which New York-based Totally Worth It will distribute Hautlence timepieces in the U.S.A. and Canada. Launched in 2004 and based in Neuchatel, Hautlence produces innovative and imaginative timepieces in small numbers. Totally Worth It distributes several niche brands in North America. Alexis Sarkissian, founder and chief executive officer of Totally Worth It, said in a media release: “Rarely opportunities arise to represent exceptional brands such as Hautlence and for experienced professionals to distinguish themselves and grow while providing personalized service to the trade and the most demanding collectors.”Sarkissian is a former former president of Roger Dubuis with twenty years of watch industry experience. Omega PO goes to Cuba
Just got back from Cuba, spent a beautiful week there with my girlfriend Corine and some buddies (Scott and Kurt), soaking up the sun, smoking lots of cigars, and drinking lots of rum. It's a very interesting country, the literacy rate there is apparently over 95% which is on par with or better than many Western countries, and they have a health care program where every citizen is able to see a doctor. Whether or not treatment is readily available is another story however, as there is a shortage of even the most basic things, like cold medicine and even toilet paper. There is 0 homelessness which I found interesting, since the government assigns every person a home of some sort.One rather strange sight was a fair bit of hate propaganda in the form of billboards etc. aimed at America. The Cuban government wants very much for the Cuban people to resent America, but I didn't find that to be the case at all. Incoming 5167 Pic Heavy!
First off thank you to everyone on this forum for all your valuable posts and advice. I decided today to take the plunge on the Aquanaut! I'm obsessed!! Replacement dials for Tudor chronographs (79260 or 79160 big blocks)
Greetings. I'm on a quest for a black dial Tudor 79260 or 79160 Big Block, and one dilemma I'm finding is that there just aren't many with a black dial.If I found one that was perfect in every way EXCEPT for the dial color, is it difficult/expensive to track down a new replacement dial? (I'm not finding them listed on forums or eBay etc).Could a reputable non-RSC repair center simply order one and install it? If not, could only an RSC do this? If so, do you think they'd replace a Tiger dial with one without the Tiger?Follow-on question: Is it possible to convert a rotating bezel model to a fixed black bakelite bezel?
