Just noticed this Speedmaster on Omega web site under new products. its the manual wind moon watch 42mm Diameter. Following the release of the PO GMT, maybe Omega are going a bit wayward with what to bring out next scenario ??? what do you guys think?
September Minute Repeater Event in NYC
Are any members attending a Patek MR Event at HSWA? I was invited by my AD and will be there Tuesday, September 13th. It would be nice to meet a few of you guys.
5110 or not?
Good day to all,As some of you have already given me very constructive feedbacks when I was purchasing the 3940s, I would like to have your opinion on adding or not the 5110.A quick recap, all my Pateks have the 240 movement. It is by pure coincidence (3738G, 5712/1A, 3940G, 3940J). I used to dislike the worldtime, finding the cluttered names of the cities in the world a little has-been (it reminded me of the walls at reception desks of hotels and offices in the 1970s/80s, with individual clocks showing the time in Paris, London, New York, Hong Kong etc). (Sorry I don't mean to offend anyone here). But over time, I start to get attracted to the dial design, the perfect shape of the casing, the perfect 37mm size, the perfect tapering of the alligator strap. And today, I must say that my position and opinion have changed. I have 2 offers, to acquire either a 5110R or 5110P. My 2 questions are (by the way, I have read most of the postings on the 5110 in this forum, which made me love this
Need to vent
Just tired of my AD. I have spent good money there 50k-100k in the last 5 years. It seems I get little to no respect. When I ask for a hot item - sorry, there's nothingNope can't do itWould it be so hard to sayyou will be the 1st/2nd/3rd person we reach out toWe will call you as soon as we knowIt seems they play favorites, and I'm not one of them. Sorry rant over.
Opinions on a trade for a vintage gmt
Ok as I'm trying to diversify my collection to more collectables I've had an offer of trading my full set 16610 sub (2001 pinhole) for a 1982 gmt master two tone on jubilee (watch only)I know the 5 digits go up and down in price but are all about the same.... researching these gmts and the prices are all over the place ... it's a non-nipple dial but still tritium original... bracelet is mint with almost no stretch and the plexi is unscratchedNow I know we don't value watches here but I'm looking for advice on these older TT gmt's as I cannot find anything consistent Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
