Found: General Patton's Five Minute Repeating Split Second Chronograph Pocket Watch (Live Photos
We see a lot of watches at HODINKEE – complicated, simple, new, and vintage. Every once in a while a watch comes across our desks that makes us stop and think about history and time. Recently, we had the pleasure of seeing a unique pocket watch from the early 20th century. This gold Tiffany & Co. watch features a five minute repeating split second chronograph movement made by Patek Philippe. The engraving on the cuvette reads, "Lieut. George S. Patton U.S.A., from his Father and Mother, June 11 1909," confirming that this is General George S. Patton's pocket watch. 1 OF 8 General George S. Patton 2 OF 8 General Patton was a U.S. Army general, who commanded forces across the Mediterranean and European theaters in World War II. He is widely regarded as one of the most successful U.S. field commanders in history, and was well known for his bravado and determination. Hello all, What can I say, I've been wanting a speedy pro for some time. So I ended up getting one in today, and I'm blown away already! Coincidentally, the date on the warranty is my birthday! Must have been meant to be. Have a great weekend everyone!

Final Decision
Gents, I have gone back and forth as to which model I like and which one fits me best. I originally purchased an all black 116610 Sub that got a little boring to me, so 2 years later I traded along with cash an all black AP Offshore. I found myself never wearing black, therefore did not love that watch with any of my blue suits. I recently sold that watch and am now wanting something that I will stick with and that will look great with whatever I wear. I think the sub was just a little too plain for me. The stainless is of course young and fits my age group more. I'm 25 and am in banking. The new rose gold models are very appealing. Thoughts? My wrist size is 7. Just looking for help on what to go with!Thank you all!
