Linde Werdelin The Perfect Five Characters: Cheng Xue
Born: 8-14-1987 in ShanghaiDoctorate student (marine biology) - currently at Stockholm University.Owns a Linde Werdelin Oktopus Titanium Watch, bought August 14, 2009Cheng Xue is a doctorate student in marine biology with a specialization in arctic ecology. Originally from the University of Shanghai, Xue is currently working on her doctorate thesis in Stockholm. An excellent diver, she is used to extreme arctic conditions and recently participated in a surveying mission along with a team of fellow students and her Nobel-Prize professor. During the mission, the team came close to a very big paleontological discovery. On her wrist, the LW Oktopus watch she proudly wears was bought online last summer, late at night, after a very exciting evening in a French Riviera Casino. While still at the mission in the arctic Xue received a strange call from Linde Werdelin about her Oktopus watch and that she was needed to attend a meeting at the LW HQs is Copenhagen. The LW employee assured her that sh
HAUTLENCE Playground Labyrinth
Introducing the Hautlence Playground Labyrinth“Same player shoot again”! In a world where everything is super-technological and ultra-connected with garish appliances and piercing sounds that verge on noise abuse, Hautlence has crossed the line with "an entirely essential yet fundamentally useless object": Playground Labyrinth. As a watch, Playground Labyrinth has a large rectangular titanium case that's classic Hautlence fuelled by a mechanical movement with wrist straps butit doesn't tell the time! Instead of the regular hour and minute hands gliding over the dial there's a beautiful maze in rose or white gold. The network of straight paths bordered by satin-finish walls with polished edges and a platinum ball is a chance to get away from the everyday chaos and return to your childhood for a bit of me-time.The calibre in the 37×43.5x13mm case has a mechanical lift to put the ball back into play once it's out of the labyrinth.Price: 12,000 CHFBy Sharmila Bertinhautlen

PAM 233 vs PAM 312
So i've owned a 312 in the past and enjoyed it for quite some time. When it came time to sell it, I had decided it was a little too tall for my liking. I wore it in rotation with a 000. Both were sold and i went big with a 422 and a 305. Now I'm back to wanting a 44 again and I'm considering a 233 or a 1088. I'm leaning towards the more classic look of the 233, but I'm hesitating somewhat because of the 1950's case. How different does it wear and feel on the wrist than a 312? One is manual vs automatic, domed crystal vs regular. Any opinions are welcomed... I don't want to regret a 233. The 88 has always been a favorite and the luminor case sits nicely on the writst. helppppppppppppp
Stopped at a local Rolex AD.....Very interesting discussion.
Back story-This AD sells a lot of watches. Has been an AD for nearly 40 years. Is the owner. This AD also attends Baselworld each year. #1. He had an amazing selection. The only really notable exception was Daytona’s. He had all explorer and sub variants as well as 2 Batman, Sea Dweller, James Cameron, etc. His sense was that Rolex was not limiting supply. He had stock so it was hard to refute his opinion. He also didn’t believe there was going to be price increases, and he did not believe watches would be upgraded with newer movement or phased out entirely. He didn’t believe there was a need to rush to buy anything. He thought this year would bring some interesting releases but would not elaborate other than he didn’t think one needed to rush a purchase for fear of missing out. He also doesn’t give huge discounts but 10% off msrp is fair for him, I was just stunned that he was willing to give a discount at all considering all the horror stories online. I
