Watches NEWS
Incoming, and it's a LE!
It took me a long time to track this one. It's a limited edition from 2010, which is seldom seen even in the used market (which I've been scanning for the last 6 months for it). After almost closing a deal on a used piece, the seller decided to go another route, and it slipped away. After that, a dealer which I had contacted said he could see with BUSA if there were any left in stock. Long shot, I thought, but why not. You can imagine my surprise when he got back to me and said that there was exactly 1 piece left in stock with Breitling and asked if I wanted it. Hell, yes! I wanted it!Long story short, I got my hands on a watch that is truly special. Although Breitling has a name for big watches, this one feels great with 43mm and 14mm height. The in-house B01 with saphire back and 100m wr are the icing on the cake. In a time when I'm seeing a lot of love for vintage chronos, this seems to be a great way to enjoy that look with the perks of a modern piece.Enough said. Here are some shot
Nautilus tool watch, must see!
Picture is worth a thousand words...A friend was wearing this. Handed down from his father, he shared with me, I wear it every day, I chop wood wearing it
I haz a sad... and a practical question
Traveling in Europe with my aquanaut travel time and looked down this morning to see this: I didn't bang it on anything I can recall. I have one general and two specific questions: 1. Any of you experienced a similar issue and was it an easy fix? 2. I would assume water resistance is probably not affected with the loss of the button. Any opinions? Thanks in advance for feedback. I still love the watch and am totally bummed that I will have to give it up for a while to have it repaired. Hopefully since it's within the first year, warranty should give me some cover. Spotted a 5726 in the wild today...
I was sitting in Rockefeller Center by Blue Bottle Coffee earlier tonight and I just happened to notice the person next to me wearing a 5726 on a bracelet. I wanted to compliment him on it but had to bite my tongue as I was in the middle of a meeting. I have to say, I don't often seen Pateks in the wild (maybe only a handful of times), and the 5726 isn't really my cup of tea, but wow do I want a Nautilus more than ever! The case shape/size and bracelet are just perfect. I can't wait until the day I have the opportunity to own a 5711!
Steel Submariner at HKG boutique
The large Rolex boutique in Terminal 1 departures area has a steel no date Sub. Said they just received it. Decided to pass on it, but if you're passing through HKG, may be worth a lookPrice = 58,000 hkd or 7400 USD
