Pam 1312 vs 312 size & color dilemma...
Hey guys,I am new to the forum and new to panerai. Looking to make my first panerai watch purchase and I need some help...I have been doing research online (exhaustively), and have visited my local AD for the in person experience. I initially went in with heart set on the 312. I tried both the 312 and 1312 and I preferred the overall aesthetic and cleaner look of the 312 dial, but much preferred the thinner fit of the 1312... but I was just not sure of the ecru color, blue second hand and automatic written on dial... although it isn't that obstrusive in person, it still has me thinkingWhy couldn't they just make the 312 exactly the same (or even with the ommision of the date and the 9) with the new 1312 case size?? Phone on meltdown ...... after launch today
I decided to take a trip down to my local AD today this morning prior to the reveal of the new models. The AD has changed the rules on the waiting list and will only add you to the list for a particular piece if you arrive in the shop in person. They decided to change the rules today and not take phone reservations. So i sat in the shop whilst Rolex updated their website. I added my name to the list for the gmt pepsi steel at no 1Then the phone started ringing and did not stop. I left the shop to grab a snack and called back in 25 min later to see if the phone had stopped ringing. It had not . If they had taken all the phone reservations they estimated the list would have been about 12 years for their stores allocation.Rolex looks as though they may have hit a home run......
