Franc Vila FV Evos 8 Cobra Blue Bandido Watch
The blue bandit. It hits you, leaving you with a black and blue eye. This Bandido is blue, and only for the US. Franc Vila re-touches his FV Evos 8 Cobra to be in all black with bright, electric blue hands. The limited edition shares the rest of the Cobra characteristics from the carbon fiber elements on the case and custom automatic rotor on the movement. Limited to 88 pieces and $28,000. Highway robbery? They don't call it a bandido for nothing.Read my article on the Franc Vila FV Evos 8 Cobra Blue Bandido watch here at Haute Living.
Hamilton Below Zero Chronograph Diver Watch Freshens Up Below Zero Line
There was a lot of controversy over the three-handed Below Zero watch that Hamilton released within the last year. I spoke about it here, and suggested that it had a subtle art deco styling. A good deal of people disagreed, while many saw exactly what I was talking about. I didn't realize a little bit of art deco was something to disagree over. Suffice it to say that the original Hamilton Below Zero was an acquired, or at least subjective taste. Now Hamilton is about to release the chronograph version of the Below Zero watch, and have made more changes than expected. Other than the addition of the chronograph via an ETA Valjoux 7750, check out the subtle changes all over the case and dial. You'll notice that the case has been "de-avant-garded" a bit. The bridge between the lugs has been removed. I actually liked this bridge a lot. It said "Hamilton" on it and look edinteresting giving the strap a nice integrated look. Ben Bridge is discontinuing Omega
I was at the Dallas Ben Bridge yesterday and I noticed that they were selling Omegas at 25% off. I asked them about it and I was told that the company will no longer sell Omega in their stores nationwide and they are selling off their stock. Unfortunately they won't go lower than 25% off.
Saw a 5124 in the showcase at my local AD.
I want it bad, but just picked up a 5711 so I'm penny rich and pound poor! Wow, it is really beautiful. Pictures do not do this watch justice!
A couple questions for my first purchase
Hello,Long time lurker first time posting. First I've always worn descent watches several Tags and my current watch is a Longines automatic. The Longines needs a repair (IMO the watch isn't worth putting the money into it.) I'd like to upgrade and I'm very close to buying my first Rolex and have a couple of questions. 1) An AD in my neighborhood will sell me a Black GMT II that he's been wearing for a month for $7200. The watch came out of their new inventory and I'll be the first owner. It's seems like a fairly good deal but was wondering if it was a great deal?2) I'm a pilot so my watches get banged around coming in contact with metal surfaces and I'm skeptical whether I want to spend this much money on something that will get quite a bit of wear and tear. 3) If I don't buy a Rolex to replace my current watch I'm leaning towards a Breitling Super Ocean with a rubber strap for work. I know their nice watches but it's not a Rolex and wondered if the watch is really worth $3500?T
