The Best Baselworld 2015 Swag So Far: A Hip Flask Full Of Booze, From NOMOS
It has become common at BaselWorld (and all trade shows for that matter) for brands to gift small items to journalists and retailers after meeting with them. We aren't talking much here – I would say the industry standard is a box of Swiss chocolates. Sometimes we might receive a pen, notepad, or other essentially perishable items that will be lost likely before we even hit the airport to return home. Occasionally, you get something great. This year, NOMOS hit the spot. 1 OF 1 Yup, that's a flask. And not only is it a flask, but it is a full flask. Loaded up with some top-tier Jamaican rum, NOMOS is skipping over the standard fare and giving us journalists exactly what we want, nay, need to survive over a week of 18 hour days and close to 100 appointments. The flask is small and sutble, and will absolutely become part of this week's conversation. It is, for the record, six times thicker, however, than the new NOMOS thin self-winding movement, which we wi
26470ST to 26470OR
I bought a 26470ST last summer and really like it a lot. I switch between the ROO and my Gold Rolex GMT2 as my daily watches.I just got the idea though to PX both the 26470ST and 116718 for a Gold 26470OR.Has anyone else made this switch, from the steel model to the gold model? Anything I should be aware of - much heavier, easier to damage, etc? Also anyone put their 26470OR on a rubber strap as I really like the convenience of rubber straps - is it easy to do?
First post. First timepiece. First AP Jumbo 15202
Hi everyone - this is my first post here, I recently acquired my first ever timepiece! I have been wanting a timepiece since 2009, I went through many phases over the years and almost pulled the trigger on a IWC Pilot Chrono and PAM111. I was in love with AP 25940SK at one point but it was out of my price range. I am quite happy that I didn't and held out for this long. I knew I would be settling for something I eventually would grow out of and I did. My taste has evolved tremendously and through more and more research I become more and more intrigued with AP. Last year I did tremendously well in the stock market so I decided to reward myself. Here is how I narrowed down my choice, i considered a few watches in my price range the 15400st blue dial, 15400OR black dial, 15202, PP 5711a and the Daytona rose gold black dial. I was pretty set on the 15400st but I wasn't able to find the blue dial since it was boutique only (lucky me) as time went on I did more research, collectors and puris
