Shinola Runwell Chronograph 41mm Watch
Shinola is very likely a brand that needs no introduction to readers of this site. They seem to be one of the few bright spots of good news hailing from my old stomping grounds of Detroit. They've released a variety of well-designed leather goods, bicycles, and three-hander watches. On the watch front, they're upping the ante by adding a new size to one of their more popular models, the Runwell Chronograph.It's not surprising to hear that the new model is simply called the Runwell Chrono 41mm. As with their other models, this is a quartz-driven piece. This model uses their Argonite 5021 movement, which is assembled from 84 components provided to them by Ronda. This movement is housed in a fully polished 41mm stainless steel case. The overall feel of this case is one of compactness. So, a few months ago, i purchased a RG rubber clad, I wore it for a month, the clasp was kinda hurting and I forgot how much the RC clasps bothered me when i used to own a SS RC.. I decided to trade it at a loss, which really hurt after only having it for a month and it being brand new.. But this new one really grew on me more and more.. The more i saw it on this forum, the more I wanted it.. It's been over a 3 month wait since I placed my order.. i guess from what i hear this is a hard one to find in any AD.. So the BLNR and the LN GMT's were missing from the catalogue and pricelist handed out at Basel. Why is this not bigger news?
