Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon NEDU Diver's Watch
Ball released an interesting new diver called the Engineer Hydrocarbon NEDU. The Navy Experimental Diving Unit (NEDU) is the branch of the American Navy that deals with the standards for operational diving and decompression rules for their divers. NEDU is actually the group responsible for establishing the decompression tables you may know from scuba training or, if you're like me, from the rubber strap that came fitted to a Citizen Aqualand diver. These decompression tables allow a diver to know how quickly to ascend, based on the duration and depth of their dive. Use these numbers correctly and you can prevent suffering a case of the bends.Back to the watch at hand. The NEDU is a 42mm titanium diver that features Ball's signature H3 micro gas tubes for constant low-light illumination and is powered by a COSC certified ETA 7750 automatic chronograph movement. The 7750 offers hours, minutes, sub seconds, day and date along with a central seconds hand for the chronograph measure and a m
Hublot Bling Evolution: Diamonds On A Big Bang Watch
Years ago when the first Hublot Big Bang came out it was an interesting watch to most people. It had an aggressive military and industrial sensibility to it that so many men enjoyed back then, and still enjoy today. Not everyone is in love with Hublot watches, but most tend to agree that the Big Bang was a solid design. So solid that for a long time Hublot became typecast as a firm making only Big Bang watches. That is until a few years ago when watches like the King Power and others came along to fill in the product line a bit more.Going back to the Big Bang I thought it would be interesting to explore the "jewelry-ification" of the piece. From the original masculine design to pieces completely covered in diamonds, it is fascinating to see how the core design has held up to being studded in diamonds. The newest diamond-dressed Big Bang watch is called the Hublot Baby Million (though I am not sure what is so "baby" about it). It is a $302,000 priced piece with 28 carats of diamonds on
The new Graham watch is instantly identifiable by virtue of its dial
The new Graham watch is instantly identifiable by virtue of its dial, done in a unique extremely hard meteorite stone from Arizona. The functions of the watch are clear on the exclusive display: it shows hours, minutes and seconds. They are joined by the date indication, arranged at 3 o'clock. Inspired by the magnificent Moon, the dial also features the patented moon phase complication as well as the perpetual moon cycle, which represents an independent gear system.
Incoming 60th Railmaster
Hi all - just picked up a 60th LE railmaster. Am absolutely delighted with it. Initially I thought I would be swayed to the Seamaster, but as soon as I tried this on I was hooked by the size and simplicity of it. Is a great looking watch and a change from the others I have. The domed crystal and polished bezel give off great reflections and add to the simple and understated look.Looks great on both bracelet and strap and very comfortable. Haven't tried the NATO yet, but the mustard colour is not really singing to me. That said, I don't usually do black straps and the one provided looks great so I may give it a try.So far is running at less then a second quick a day so Is incredibly accurate. As I'm not a fan of more than 3 watches, the FOIS may go leaving me the 16610LV, the Apollo 17 45th and this. I think they are a nice trio being all different sizes and uses.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tudor Black PVD Coating
Hello, New to the site but very happy to join. I'm looking for an all black watch with leather strap and the Tudor Black Bay seems like a great fit. I'm wondering about how the PVD coating wears? Does anyone have insight on if it scratches easily or anything negative about the coating? Thanks in advance.
