Incoming Vintage Mark II
Love the shape. Amazing condition for a watch from the 70s recent omega service and replacement bracelet helps I guess. Something special about vintage Omega- love it!
Strap on my PO 8500
I had this croc/alligator/caiman strap in my watch drawer for the last 4-5 years and just remembered it was a 22mm - the same lug width as the PO.It is very comfortable. What do you think? It's needs a little more padding, but I kinda like it.Rob
Got my vintage Seamaster re-dialed and running
Finally, I got my Seamaster back in my hands. It belonged to my late father and wasn't running, had a cracked crystal and missing stem and crown, not to mention the degraded dial due to moisture from the stem tube being open. I think the decision to get it re-dialed and in black was a good one (I'm not selling it, so re-sale wasn't a consideration) even though it is a big no-no in the purist community. Plus, black and gold is an incredible combination, along with a new black leather strap. Now the bad. There is a piece of lint and some specs of dirt trapped under the crystal. Some visible with the nekked eye. The stem was rubbing against the case and binding, so I had to bend it to take out the wobble. He used a cheap, generic gold tone crown (watch is solid 14K). He buffed out the hands and didn't re-lume it, so It doesn't match the re-lume of the dial (was expecting new hands!). It loses 30 secs / day. So, to say the least, it was a sloppy job all around. He couldn't eve

Vegas Incoming
I was staying at the Bellgaio in Vegas and won some money so went into Tesorini (Rolex AD inside Bellagio) looking for a Ceramic sub, or rhodium dial datejust. They had jus sold a ceramic sub yesterday so that was out of the picture. I was considering the datejust...but eventually passed on it. As I was walking out, my sales lady says you won't believe what we just got . She goes to the back and comes back with a Sea-Dweller....I was shocked. Bought it right away. Had it shipped home to save on taxes. She told me the day before (12/21), they had received a surprise shipment of two subs, two Daytona's, and two BLNR's. Vegas stores must get allocated a lot of these hot watches due to their high sales volume? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
