My Wife Finally Gets It!
While I was not able to attend the New York Patek Philippe show last month, my wife framed my invitation which turned out great! Does she finally accept my obsession with watches?2017-08-08_05-53-43 by racerdj, on Flickr
5140 vs 5205
Yes, yes, an apples to oranges comparison, but I am curious which would you prefer to own as your calendar / daily watch? - Perpetual vs. annual- 37.5 vs. a small 40 mm- Subdial display vs. apertures- 5140 is thinner (dressier / more elegant) vs. 5205 thicker (sportier)- traditional design vs. something a little more fresh?I would appreciate comments on the these two regardless of case material, etc. BUT, something has crossed my mind and that something is the following:5205R that I currently own being replaced by 5140P.thanks. Did I buy a Panerai for the right reasons? And Review..
Good day TRF members, I thought I would first introduce myself informally as i have been lingering as spectator for years and then joined the forum not too long ago. I wanted to document my thought process and decision on why I choose to pull the trigger on a Panerai. I purchased it over a year ago and In my quest I always found posts helpful when people were doing a long term review and thought I would share my findings.I know the title of my thread is a personal questions however there might be other out there who are facing similar questions. Even though this is a sub category in a Rolex forum, I personally prefer this network and the people much more than the Paneristi and watchuseek forums. shhh don't tell them that I've own the watch for a while and have had various other watches, Rolex Date-just, Tag Heuer, Tourneau, and some beaters. The reasons why I chose a Panerai were for the following.1. The simple and classic design2. The size of the watch3. Less in the wild4. Value for
Same 111 , two faces ;)
Still love this piece!
