Dive Watch News: Oris Launches A New Version of its Diver Sixty-Five
Oris has recently released a blue-and-gray-dialed version (note also the white-on-black date) of its popular Oris Diver Sixty-Five model, which was first introduced at Baselworld 2015. (For a review of that watch, click here.) Like its black-dialed counterpart, the new watch (Ref. 733 7707 406) is powered by an automatic Sellita SW200 movement and comes with 40-mm-diameter case that is water-resistant to 100 meters (which explains the scooter in the picture). It is currently available at retail, priced at $1,850.
Breitling Movements?
Since everyone here is so knowledgeable about watches and movements, what movements are found in Breitling watches? I have a seven year old crosswind, just curious whats inside. Thanks Chris
Is this vintage sea master a fake?
Was hoping to get some feedback from those who are more knowledgable than me about the authenticity of this watch. It's a vintage 1970s sea master calibre 1020 just like the one in this videohttps://m.youtube/watch?v=W7Rby0j6RQ0I'm particularly dubious of the hippocampus as it seems to be a rather low res stampingAppreciate any feedback, thanks
Buying first Omega, advice needed
I am about to buy my first preowned Omega Seamaster 2264. It is a 1995 model, and I will be paying $900 US for it. Is this a good deal for this watch? Is there anything I should be watching out for when inspecting the watch? Thanks for your time!
Gold vs SS Nautilus - useability and durability?
Hi,This is not so much a 'what do you prefer' thread - but more a question of how much more fragile the gold versions of the nautilus are.We all know the SS nautilus bezel is a scratch magnet - so I would imagine the similar gold bezel is even more prone to scratches...?Current or previous owners of both metals - can you share your experiences? Is/was the gold nautilus a special occasion watch - with the SS a daily driver? Or the gold version for work, change to SS for more casual? Did anyone 'downgrade' from gold to SS nautilus out of fear of scratches or other reasons? Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
