AP newbie questions
Hey guys,Sorry if these questions have already been asked but I'm new to AP with a growing interest. First of all, I'm a one watch guy, I have had my Yachtmaster for a while now and as of lately AP has caught my eye.First, I'm looking into 15202 and the 15400 with blue dials. Is this the best way to enter the AP world?Second, I know these are no Rolex, but how well do these refs handle an active lifestyle?Third, are the original AP rubber bands compatible with these? I like to throw the occasional rubber band to fly the watch under the radar.Any recommendations given my scenario? Thanks!Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Im Gonna Hate Myself in the Morning, but..(vintage?)
Ok, the last thing I need is another watch (right now!) b/c I want to buy my Dad something nice first, and then perhaps a Speedy for me. BUT.....I will probably regret asking this because I dont need another obsession, but...Is there a good, reputable source(s) for vintage Omegas? I was thinking of perhaps purchasing a 1960's vintage Connie or Seamaster, or something from the 1970's era of same?In the alternative, as a rabid TAG Heuer fan, I would love to own a 70's vintage Heuer chrono.NOTE: I am not looking to buy any time soon, which is why I am not asking for a recommend for a TRF member to buy from. Thanks! Happy New Year
Braclet Question
I purchased a Seamaster Bond edition today. This is the first Omega I have owned. Mostly had Rolex's with screw in links. Has anyone had trouble with the push pins in the links. This is the only problem that I have with the watch. Seems like the band would stretch easier with such thin pins.
Mistake;Saw a 5164 Aquanaut at AD; not a 5124!
This was a 5164 Aquanaut Travel Time. Also saw a 5712 blue dial. Awesome!
Rolex Date 1500 with logo at 9pm
I've seen this Rolex Date 1500 for sale. Forgive my ignorance but can anyone tell me what the logo is at the 9pm position.
