Avakian Watch Concept 1
You may know Avakian as a high-end jewelry and watch store. Avakian has a watch line as well. They have had watches for some time, but this is a very high-end and complex model for them. It is called (I believe) the Concept 1. Yes, there are many design cues taken from other watch makers. Richard Mille and Cvstos have a lot in common with this watch, as well as from other luxury models. It doesn't matter that as a whole it is not ultra unique, but rather than in all, it is an interesting and fun design.The watch was released officially almost a year ago, but that is pittance in "watch time," where models can take a while to reach market, at least in any numbers. The watches will be sold exclusively through Avakian boutiques around the world. Avakian founder Edmond Avakian seems to suggest that the watch will be mostly available in their Beverly Hills, Geneva, London, and of course Moscow locations. Yet another .... Incoming First Panerai Thread
I'm new to the brand and I must say I had great pleasure in unboxing this beauty. I think Rolex could well learn a lesson in presentation even though I quickly discard / chuck the boxes in a cupboard until flipping time!!I always liked the quirky look of the Luminor models due to the crown guards but I never really paid attention in any detail to the brand due to the seemingly endless repetitive models and confusing model numbering. Every time I've seen a model I like etc there was always some feature on it that I disliked (along with price) e.g. power reserve displays, painted dials, date, wrong case size etc. I'm still on the fence about the seconds dial although the 422 model was a close contender when I narrowed down my list!!!After seeing pics of a few base models it persuaded me to revisit Panerai however I was still not really convinced etc until I came across the 372 which on certain straps looked stunning on various forum pictures!Looking at the specs it seemed to tick all

Rolex at the Masters
Just wondering if anyone else noticed all the commentators / past Masters champions wearing Rolex watches. I noticed quite a few Submariners and Datejusts being flashed on TV by the commentators. Since Rolex is sponsoring the streaming programming I'm wondering if they gave Rolex watches to the TV announcer's for passive advertisement. I didn't notice anyone wearing Daytona's.
