Ralph Lauren Slim Classique Square
The Ralph Lauren Slim Classique collection represents modern watchmaking with classical, slender proportions that recall a bygone era. For 2011, Ralph Lauren introduces a new square design inspired by the grand era of Art Deco style. Find technical information, wallpaper and pricing inside. In an age of increasingly large watches, this timepiece is tastefully restrained at just 27.5mm wide. The case is available in rose gold or white gold, including a guilloch reference (shown below).Beneath the classic Art Deco dial with its concentric squares and mixed Arabic and Roman numerals is a caliber RL430, made by Piaget for Ralph Lauren. This ultra-thin manual-winding movement beats at 21,600 vph and offers a 40 hour power reserve. The Ralph Lauren Slim Classique Square is priced at $12,600 in red gold, $13,800 in white gold, and $15,200 in white gold with guilloch. Bell & Ross Instrument BR03-92 Military Ceramic Watch
I wanted to double up on my coverage of nice, (relatively, in the luxury watch sense) affordable military style watches that were unveiled at Baselworld 2010. I just spoke about the Tag Heuer Formula i Khaki that has a green military strap and dial. Now I would like to share with you the new Bell & Ross BR03-92 Military Ceramic watch. Put in the BR03 case which is 42mm wide, the watch is in a matte finished ceramic in green. Cool! The olive drab green color of the case is lighter than the dark green of the dial. The Bell & Ross BR01/BR03 dial is based on military fonts and a high legibility style - so it looks right at home. The label of "Military Type" is on the dial of the watch in the version I sampled, but not in the marketing image. Hard to say what will be in the final version. The ceramic that Bell & Ross uses feels nice in the hand, and has the same level of detail and angle crispness that metal has. The case still has the metal screws that the collection is known fo
All the clearbacks have me wondering...
...does anyone make a totally clear watch? All from glass/crystal with very little metals? That would be cool.
Question about Nautilus Bracelet
Hi guys,Am currently looking into getting a metal bracelet Nautilus. Went to AD today and tried on both SS and Bimetal Nautilus's and both pinched my wrist hairs in that short time trying them on. This is very disheartening as I like the practicalities of a metal bracelet and like the various guises of the Nautilus. However there is no way I will tolerate this pinching. It will drive me nuts. I had the same problem with an old Titanium Seamaster Omega which funny enough had a similar bracelet design to the Nautilus. Wound up getting rid of it. Rolex's on the other hand have never given me a problem. So the question is have any of you noticed this problem? I'm quite reluctant to pull the trigger as a result of this..
DateJust II vs DateJust 41 my thoughts
Hi all, newbie here so be gentle...I just recently purchased my very first Rolex - I have always been a huge fan of the Sub however since seriously thinking of buying a Rolex the DateJust caught my attention. Being new to the world of Rolex I went into my local AD and viewed the new DateJust 41 and was blown away, I thought this is a watch for every occasion unlike the bulky but handsome Sub.I wanted to add my thoughts on my experience of buying the DateJust 41 and massively regretting it because thats exactly what happened. For a while I was playing with the idea of a DateJust II 41mm I saw on the grey market, brand new TT yellow gold ivory indexes and I was playing with the idea of the SS DateJust 41 with blue dial, yes I was torn between these two drastic designs. After a lot of thought I went for the DateJust 41 SS Blue Dial Smooth Bezel Oyster Bracelet from my AD. I got home put it aside and thought I will wear that in the morning. That morning I opened the box and something didn'
