Rolex Yacht-Master 116655 Watch In Everose Gold With Black Ceramic Bezel For 2015
New for 2015, Rolex has debuted a very attractive and sporty new version of the Rolex Yacht-Master that now comes on a new type of strap called Rolex Oysterflex. More on that in a second. This reference 116655 Yacht-Master is 40mm wide but there will also be the 37mm wide ref. 268655 Yacht-Master. Unlike the traditional Yacht-Master that has been known for platinum bezels this new 2015 Yacht-Master model will come equipped with a black Cerachrom (ceramic) bezel. We really love this new black and gold theme for the Yacht-Master that is both luxurious but not blingy. The Rolex Yacht-Master 116655 contains the in-house made caliber 3135 automatic movement while the smaller 268655 contains the 2236 automatic movement. Both are more or less functionally the same being three-hand movements with the date. What is very nice about the new Cerachrom bezel is Rolex's ability to craft it with the markers in relief - which is a new process that we are interested in hearing about. This adds a new cha
My First Grail Watch: Serge Michel Of Armin Strom
Welcome back to an original watches-dealer feature, "My First Grail Watch." In this series, we ask prominent people in the watch industry about the first timepiece that they lusted after. Today, we're speaking with Serge Michel, who is the owner of Armin Strom, an independent watch brand that we've featured on these pages quite a bit.watches-dealer (ABTW): Who are you, and what is your relationship to the watch industry?Serge Michel (SM): Serge Michel, Owner of the independent watch brand Armin Strom.ABTW: When did your fascination with watches start?SM: As a child, being one of the first Swatch-Club collectors. I asked my parents for my first watch at 6 and, by the age of 10, I owned about 12 models. I would wear a favorite for a few months and then be ready for a new one. Of course, the one with the transparent case back was my most favorite.ABTW: What was your first grail watch?SM: That's hard to say, as I've fancied so many watches over the years. Right now, it's the Jaeger-LeCoult

Hola Amigos!! Hello Friends!!As you may know, by reading my usual posts at the Rolex sections, Im more a Rolex fan than follower of other watch brands, but anyway, my WIS heart has a place for some other beauties as well. Omega is another favorite of mine of course.Fact is, that I have been looking after a good example of an Omega Constellation model for some time.I find its pie pan dial so charming, and the gold case and leather straps so elegant. Last Sunday, I came across this one, while browsing through the windows of my local friendly vintage watches shop.I fell in love inmediately (love at first sight REALLY happens!!) and after a little chatting and discussing, arrived to a nice deal with the seller. (He IS really friendly!).I took it home, and gave a little polish to its original plastic glass. I discovered that original plastic, has a very little Omega design in the very center of dial glass!! very difficult to see, and more to photograph, but it is there if original plastic.
1st Rolex Purchase Advice.
Hello all, this is my first post and I'm looking for advice that's applicable to a first time purchase in the UK.I'm looking to buy my first Rolex and ideally I'd like the Seadweller Anniversary, if that's not going to be an option due to waiting times, a seadweller of any type be it the ordinary or deep blue. What I'd really like to know is should I expect to pay the rrp or as was the case when my brother bought a brand new navitimer he recieved a discount of 21% off the rrp.If anyone as any advice or recommendations of AD that they have had good service from within the UK I'd love to have your advice and experiences. Thanks Richard
