Making the Tissot Sea Touch Video: Tissot Has Never Looked So Bad Ass
We often think of watchmaking as a quaint, old world, manual operation - wizened men hunched over a desk, loupe planted firmly in the eye, carving out steel components with 19th century tools. While there still are watch manufactures that preserve the old ways of doing things, even the storied companies like Patek and Lange fully embrace the latest technology for parts of the process where it makes sense. Similarly, even mass produced pieces require some manual steps and the steady hands of trained watchmakers to assemble.Take, for example, the Tissot Sea Touch. The Sea Touch is a quartz ana-digi multifunctional dive watch from the Swatch Group's entry level marque. Though it's a thoroughly modern underwater tool, with electronic compass, depth gauge and dive log functions, as the following video shows, there are still some human processes involved in its manufacture. This video is a fascinating inside look at how Tissot builds a watch in large numbers. We see hands being stamped and l
Turns per day question: 2008 Cockpit
I am in the market for a quality watch winder. Would anyone know what the recommended Turns Per Day (TPD) would be for a 2008 SS Breitling Cockpit: 500, 650, 800, 950 or 1300? Uni-directional or bi-directional? Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

Abit of help choosing my 3rd :)
Hi all,Looking for some advice/opinions/recommendations for my 3rd Rolex. I have told myself this will be my last for a while so I really want to make it count!I will be married in September and I guess kids come next so they(it) will be my priority so no luxury items for a while. :(I personally believe a black and a white are absolute staples with a SubND and DJ 41 White and would love to expand on my collection for some more colors.I am thinking either:HulkBluesyDJ 41 Blue fluted/jubileeTwo Tone DJ 41 champagne dial fluted/jubileeYachtmaster RhodiumSo TRF... What would YOU choose and why? I would love to hear your opinions :)Any other recommendations would be very very much appreciated!
How I fixed my Sea Dweller that appeared to not be self winding... by myself...
So a little bit of a back story before I go into the thread. I bought a 11660 1999 Sea Dweller a few weeks ago. Loved the watch and it worked great, but it appeared to run a bit fast, 15 seconds a day fast to be precise. The jewelry store I bought it from gave me a 1 year warranty on it that they provide, so I bring it in. Get it back, running at +3s a day now, great! 1 week later, its New Years Eve, 6pm, and I notice my watch has stopped running. Weird, maybe my reserve wasn't as full as I thought. I wind it and move on with my night. 2 days later its stopped, 2 days after that, stopped. I feel as tho I really can't hear the rotor spinning if I give the watch a little whirl, although when it stops, giving it a little swirl gets it to run, but only for a few seconds, which doesn't seem right. I digress. I bring it to the jewelry store, they agree thats not right but informed me the watchmaker they use for Rolex is off until the 17th, and that I could just bring it back in then, or leav
