Ah, Valentine’s Day, you either love it or hate it (mostly the latter). Here at HODINKEE we love it – okay not really, but we thought it would be great to bring you a selection of watches (in addition to the HODINKEE Shop picks from yesterday) that we think would be great for your significant other, whoever he or she may be. Read on for our picks. Sharing Is Caring C Arthur Touchot 1 OF 6 Here at HODINKEE, we love to share our love of watches. And what better way to do so than by sharing our watches with those we love? This Valentine’s day, consider getting a watch you and your partner can enjoy, especially if he or she doesn’t quite get your obsession with timepieces. Need help with bezel for callistino
I picked up a callistino but it is missing the bezel (have click spring). I need to buy the stainless non-diamond bezel. The prices at authorized dealers are very high. Does anybody know of any good sites to check and is the callistino compatible with any current day bretlings? Thanks
Does the caliber 23-300 has overwind protection?
The 23-300 is obviously a manual wind caliber and on my 2593 the crown is so small and also a bit recessed in the case that is is quite hard to wind. Hence I usually only wind it a few turns just to keep it running. A few times I have tried to wind it fully though but I always have to stop as my fingers get numb (it also takes quite a force to wind). I have wound it as much as it should be fully wound comparing to other calibers but the spring does not tighten. Does the 23-300 have an overwind protection that makes the mainspring slip in the barrel like automatic movements have?
Funny how things grow on you...
I thought the 5711 was the premier Nautilus but the more and more I see the 5712 the more I can't stop thinking about it. The shades of blue in different angles mixed with the red and MP get me more each time I see one. Some of the pics on Instagram are phenomenal. Those who has followed my posts know that I'm a huge 5167 fan, however I might have to make the 5712 my first Patek. I realize in the end I'll get both but know I won't be completely satisfied should I spring for the aqua first.Arnaud, you're spot on buddy. You preach that it grows on you and couldn't be more right.
