Union Glashtte Belisar GMT
Union Glashtte introduces the newest member of the Belisar family. The new 41mm GMT joins the Chronograph, Power Reserve and Big Date models. The dial is a paradigm of clarity with the second time zone indicated by a 24-hour hand distinguished by its signal-red tip. The GMT hand points to an outer, beveled dial ring. The hands and inner hours indicators have a superluminova coating for good visibility at night. The dial is finished in gleaming silver with sunburst finish and it sits beneath a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The date indication is located at six o’clock. All Belisar timepieces are powered by high-quality ETA movements, manufactured and finished in Glashtte. The exclusive Union Glashtte rotor is finished with the company’s skeletonized brand lettering and Glashtte stripes. All the watches are available with a crocodile leather or stainless steel strap and a variety of dials in black or silver finish. European MSRPs for the GMT
Introducing The Swatch Scuba Libre Collection, Lighthearted Dive Watches For Summer (Live Pics &
Since the early 1980s Swatch has been the pop-culture face of wristwatches, constantly producing new designs and collections to entice customers and collectors. Last week the brand released its latest collection of brightly colored dive watches, Scuba Libre, just as the weather starts to warm up. Sure, we're not talking about?indestructible, timeless tool watches here, but for under $100, Scuba Libre is worth a second look. 2 OF 19 Scuba Libre On The Wrist It's important to note up front that Swatch has never been about the intricacies of mechanical watchmaking or the?production?of timeless heirlooms. A Swatch is a piece of popular design that you wear on your wrist and can collect and change out at will. Scuba Libre is no exception. 3 OF 19 The collection consists of a few different watches, with the different models mixing the main design elements in various combinations. The unidirectional, clicking bezels come with either dive-style markings and sim
You're Invited: A Special Preview Of 'The Luxury Of Time: European Clocks And Watches' E
It gives us great pleasure to say that we are able to offer, courtesy of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, a limited number of invitations to an upcoming exhibition showcasing some of the most unusual, valuable, and remarkably beautiful timepieces ever made. "The Luxury of Time: European Clocks and Watches" preview will be held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art this Thursday, November 19th at 6:30 p.m. There will be a host of amazing, very rare and extremely historically important clocks and watches on hand, and the exhibition is being co-curated by the Met's Mrs. Clare Vincent, a 40-year veteran of the Met, and Associate Research Curator Ms. Elizabeth Sullivan. These are just a few examples of the treasures from the Metropolitan Museum of Art's collection. Above is a stunning clockwork celestial globe, made in Vienna in around 1579; like many of the clocks and watches in the exhibition this was a gift from J. Pierpont Morgan (in this case the gift was given in 1917).
Incoming 15202! (And some thoughts on the piece)
After 2+ years of deliberation I finally pulled the trigger. The 15202. The Jumbo. The iconic masterpiece from AP. I could not be more excited. First, let me say the watch is sublime. I had seen the Jumbo in stores before, but once you take the stickers off you truly realize just how amazing the level of finishing is. It is stellar. Second, as someone who has a bigger wrist, I was worried about how the 15202 may look. Would it be too small? Would the bracelet be too stiff?Well I am happy to report I absolutely love how it looks. It is a perfect fit for me. Yeah you see a little bit more bracelet from the top, but that's okay. And speaking of the bracelet... I love it. The bracelet has *just* enough lateral give in it to be comfortable on wrist, without being too rigid. It just forms to the shape of your wrist. Without further ado... a wrist shot!
First Omega - Speedmaster Professional?
Greetings all,New to the forums and to the Omega world.I am very interested in the Speedmaster Professional, or the moon watch. The watch will be worn on a daily basis.Anyone have any thoughts on this potential purchase? Any reliabality/movement issues? I would probably be looking to purchase a newer model, and seems like I can get one from an AD at around $2700. Any thoughts on the price?Thank you all in advance for your time.
