Pulsar Men's Automatic Watch Winner Follow-Up
Back in August (of 2010) I offered this Pulsar (by Seiko) Men's Automatic watch as a giveaway. The winner, Chris, happened to be a bit of a blogger himself and was nice enough to share his thoughts (and watch) with the world in a review. The watch looks pretty nice, especially for the price. You can check out the winner's review of the Pulsar Ref. PS2004 here. I am always glad to hear from another happy giveaway recipient. Note that the above pictures are taken by him.
The Breguet Special Type XXI Chronograph In Platinum For The Only Watch Auction
Breguet has announced that it will be donating a unique Platinum Chronograph Type XXI to the Only Watch auction to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy. The new unique piece stems from the first chronograph made by Breguet in 1935, the type XX, which was created for the French military. 1 OF 1 The Only Watch Type XXI 3813 features a special flyback function featured on the original 1950s model. This allows for the chronograph to reset to zero and restart in one smooth motion. Additionally, the minute-register is centrally located allowing for easy reading. The automatic caliber 584Q/1 movement is housed in a platinum case for the very first time, which is what makes this piece unique. For more information please visit the Only Watch auction website.
How often do you have your Omega Serviced?
My SMP (Bond with SS bezel) is going on 13 years without any service. Still runs like a top, but I'm starting to feel guilty.Just wondering how long others are going between services.
My next PP help
I am having a difficult time picking my next time piece. I am looking for a daily wear like my 15300 with non calendar complications except date around the 30k range. Also need to have decent water resistance for swimming or water activities (missing in my AP)I tried on a 5711 with white dial at local dealer. Really liked the fit with slim case. My AP is white dialed so wanted the blue dial. I recently lost an opportunity to buy a blue dialed 5711 at retail ($25k) and refuse to pay mark up prices. Looking at the PP catalog, the Aquanaut caught my eye a watch I never really considered. It seems practical, durable and the rubber strap is unique in the PP line plus same movement as the 5711. I have had other rubber strap watches and have been quite comfortable. The aquanaut seems to be overlooked often over the Nautilus. Within budget I can get the 5167R with gold case and clasp or the 5164 steel world time that can be useful during travels. Though the left pushers on 5164 seems out of pl
I did it. New watch and band
