Patek Calatrava
About 15 years ago while on a trip to London, my wife bought a Calatrava for me at Herrods.It is an automatic, two hands (no seconds), gold, with the pebble bezel. It has an alligator band. I can't find the watch on the Patek website. I've still got everything that came with the watch.Any idea what the model would be?

Hi all,Posted the same thread in Rolex sub forum - thought to post the same to PP. Hope i'm not breaking any forum rules...I've been thinking what i'm getting next.. Hoping the experts here in this forum can give me suggestions.I'm after a Rose Gold watch with a leather/rubber strap. I already have 2 Rolexes SS and YG, and an AP ROO.The options i want in no particular order:1. Patek 5712r+ I never owned a Patek before. Would be a nice additon to my collection+ havent got a moon face watch.- AD (Rolex) person advised Patek is not an everyday watch and not as 'daily beater' as a Rolex. Note: any of Rolex & Patek owners agree with this? Why?- PP's are more expensive to service compared to Rolex. And takes longer if serviced in Sydney. Again, as the AD claims.2. Patek 5980r+ never owned a Patek before- Thicker compared to 5712. Note: this is as advised by AD; A rose gold watch should be a thin watch. Do you guys agree with this view? I'm a watch newbie, so im not sure what is the 'norm
Questions on DateJust 178240 - 31mm
My wife is interested in the DateJust 178240 - 31mm with Rhodium dial. Retail in Canada is $7100 cad and got quoted $6200 cad. So about 13% off. Is that a good deal or can I try to get more discount.I found the same sales guy that sold me my Date Sub 12 yrs ago. My Sub retail at the time was about $6250 cad and bought for $5100 cad (about 18% off).Questions:1. Is $6200 a good price for the DateJust ?2. Is the 2235 movement current ?3. Any changes to DateJust soon ?4. Is April a good month to buy ?I don't know too much about DateJust. Sorry if questions seem a bit dumb.
