Swatch Group Takes Over Swiss Movement Maker Tanzarella Ltd.
Swatch Group announced today that it will take over Swiss-based watch movement maker Tanzarella Ltd. The takeover, effective July 12, will be achieved by transferring Tanzarella assets to a newly-founded Swatch Group company called Assemti Ltd. The new company will operate from Tanzarella’s present location in Riazzino / Locarno. The Swatch Group Ltd. will acquire the Tanzarella’s building from Credit Suisse. Tanzarella employs 236 people, all of whom will join the new company. The former owner, Mr. Enrico Tanzarella, will remain with the company as the director of operations. Previously Tanzarella worked exclusively for ETA SA Manufacture Horlogre Suisse, a company of The Swatch Group Ltd.The takeover comes on the heels of the passing of Swatch Group founder and chairman Nicolas Hayek on June 28. The company’s directors named Hayek’s daughter, Nayla, chairwoman on June 30.You may read the Swatch Group press release here.

My first PP 5960R
I had zero thoughts in my head to own a PP. it was something that I thought was not the right time but the wife and I went into the AD to look for one for her, and we found one for me. She pushed me to get it and I am glad she did. What piece! I am so thrilled. I attached a pic. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
How rare is a Rolex?
I'm currently sitting here in a brewery in Denver, Colorado and I'm the only one here with a Rolex on; I looked around, ha.I tend to look at the wrist of just about anyone I pass by or sit next to while I'm out and about and I'm starting to feel like it's not all that common to run into someone with a Rolex, or otherwise.I'm sure the concentration of Rolex and/or other luxury goods is mostly centralized in a handful of locations and, therefore, more noticeable. But it's still surprising to see so many naked wrists, so frequently. With the amount of watches that Rolex produces each year, it's a little surprising. But at the end of the day, it's still a privilege to be able to wear something that a lot of folks may never get the chance to own.Anyone else feel this way?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Incoming Wifes first!!!!!
Bought my wife a 114200 this week. Her first Rolex!!When I almost had to pry my DJ 36mm from my wife's arm 2 months ago while her Tag was in for a battery I figured well that makes this years gift easy for me!! In her eyes all these years I've been wearing silly watches or they just tell time !!!Funny how once you wear one for a while you don't want to let it go!!I got her the 34mm since she likes the bigger watch but with her tiny wrists my 36mm did look a little big. I hope she enjoys hers as much as I enjoy mine! Wrist shot to follow on the morning of the 25th!!!
