Classic World Timer Tiffany & Co. Streamerica Two Timezone Watch Available
Most every time a Tiffany & Co. Streamerica watch becomes available, I tend to mention it due to the fact that I personally want the watch. These are pretty great and beautiful watches that Tiffany & Co. sold in the mid 1990's designed by Jorg Hysek. You can read about my extensive Tiffany & Co. Streamerica praise here.So this Streamerica watch is a bit different, and represents one of the much more limited models that was sold. Unlike the standard three-hand model, this watch is a world timer. In addition to the normal time, there are two special windows. One with 24 city names (one for each time zone), and a 24 hour disc window. Hit the pusher above the sculpted crown, and the city name changes along with the 24 hour disc, moving one timezone. Help Neded - 1975 Omega De Ville
Hey guys,This past weekend my father was speaking to an old friend and the topic of watches came up. Not sure how one thing led to another, but his friend offered to send him an old Omega that he had sitting in a drawer. He mentioned that it didn't work, but my father said he would like to see it.I was worried that it might be fake, but it arrived today and it seems to be authentic. The watch itself seems fine despite not working, however the leather strap seems to be aftermarket and added later on. The strap is labelled Speidel, is 18mm and stamped Hong Kong.The booklet is dated August 1st, 1975 and cost 1600 rupees which was $161 dollars. I guess that seems about right, but again, I'm not sure.If any Omega experts could chime in, I would really appreciate it. I couldn't get to the movement because it seems to go in from the front and I have no idea what I'm doing.I'm wondering if it should even be serviced or sent to someone in an attempt to get it running again. Nautilus 40th Anniversary - Monday is the big day
Looks like Monday could be the big day for the launch of two special Nautilus watches to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Nautilus. My money is on one in stainless steel and one in gold. I am hoping for a perpetual calander model. Let's wait and see.
