SIHH: JeanRichard Shows Two New Bressels and the Highlands Sand Sports Watch
At SIHH JeanRichard is introducing three new men’s models: the Bressel Homage “Daniel” is inspired by a Daniel JeanRichard pocket watch created in 1710. The Bressel 1665 Small Hour and Minute offers a distinctive time display, and the sporty Highlands “Sand” reinterprets the original Highlands from the mid-1990s. All three are powered by in-house JeanRichard movements.The Bressel Homage “Daniel” is dedicated to Daniel JeanRichard, the pioneer and “father” of watchmaking in the Neuchatel Mountains, and is a celebration of one of his greatest creations, to date the only known silver pocket watch of its time – one created in 1710. The new model has an understated look. The pink gold case measures a classic 38mm in diameter. It houses a curved, white lacquered dial, echoing the enamel used on the pocket watch. Breguet Manuscript Brings Over $2 Million at Patrizzi Auction
Patrizzi & Co. sold a manuscript by Abraham-Louis Breguet for a record 2.3 million Swiss Francs (approx. $2,078,000) on Friday, May 7, in Geneva. Nicolas G. Hayek, president and CEO of Montres Breguet S.A. purchased the 354-page document on behalf of the Breguet Museum in Paris. Dictated by Breguet to his assistant over the last five years of his life, it is one of the most important horological documents in existence with in-depth explanations and drawings of Breguet’s many innovations and watchmaking legacy. Despite technical problems that prevented online bidding, total sales from the auction were 5,802,250 Swiss Francs (approx. $5.24 million). About 70 people attended the auction in Geneva. The New Royal Oak Line
Well it seems like the new royal oak line is out. It still is the same 2385 caliber. I thought there was likely going to be a new in house caliber announced this year. The metal color combinations are nice. Gold with blue dial is my favorite. i actually liked having the numerals at the seconds marker. I am disappointed those were removed. These are all novelty items as well so I guess that means boutique only. Comes with gold bracelet or strap. Also steel version... Any thoughts?

Royal Oak 15400 Bracelet Sizing
Question for all - when you size the Royal oak bracelet should it be slightly tighter or looser than other watches?Ie when your wrist is flat can you fit say your pinky in the slack? Or slightly less?

Submariner Getting Service Under Warranty
Not a very exciting post friends, just thought I'd share.Rewind a year or two, I remember reading a post about someone who brought their watch into RSC, just to have it looked over, as it approached the end of the warranty. This always stuck with me.Fast forward, my 116610LV warranty is up in Jan, so I decided to have it looked over. Turns out it needs some attention. Low Amplitude and the timing is off.Anyway, just as that thread gave me the idea, I figured I'd share my experience with others. I'm happy to receive a fresh service going into my watch's new chapter of expired warranty.Annnnnnd here's a pic, cause why not ;)
