Swatch Jeremy Scott Melted Minutes Wrist Watch & Hypnotic Heart Pocket Watch
Swatch's new resident weirdo designer Jeremy Scott follows up his first collection for the watch brand with another less than a year later. I first discussed the Jeremy Scott collection of watches for Swatch here - focusing on the Lighting Flash Watch that I thought was pretty cool. There are five new ones now, arguably more strange than the first collection. For me the weirdest piece is one done in a sort of naked color tone with a burnt/melted dial. Mr. Scott - wearing strange hair?? as always- calls it the Melted Minutes watch. I envision it as art for art's sake and would see no reason or purpose to wear it. At best it looks a Swatch assembly line production accident. Even with Scott's ostentatiously unorthodox fashion sense, I don't see many outfits where this melted dial watch fits the bill at all. Passionate Swatch collector's might see things differently though.Probably the most interesting piece is not a wrist watch at all but the Swatch Jeremy Scott Hypnotic Heart pocket watch
Incoming daily "beater"... but I'm headed out of town!
Always love reading the incoming threads and time now to start one of my own. After a few months of going back and forth between an AP or PP, AP won. Have been enjoying my AP 44mm RG novelty on weekends, but was missing seeing an AP on my wrist during the week. What a different feeling on Mondays when I have to put on my Milgauss to go to work... first world problems :).Had located some pieces in Asia and in the Caribbean with great discounts but ended up wiring to DavidSW this afternoon because of the convenience and positive threads here (thanks Roger for the nudge!). Just waiting for my tracking...Should be expecting a package later this week but out of town until Sunday... will be looking forward to getting home to take some pics!
talk me out of a 8500 PO
Ok guys/gals... i currently have an AP diver and a GMTIIC. previous watches a Breitling SA and a Pam 112. Im seriously considering the PO in 45.5 mm. I think for the money ill go ahead and get the bracelet and then grab an isofrane for it. I know the OEM rubber is supposed to be awesome but i cant hardly bring myself to pay the same for a rubber strap as a bracelet. I also hear the bracelets are hard to size. is this true? Im sold in the isofranes so thats a given. 22mm correct? i think the PO with the orange markers would give me something different in my collection even though i know the silver markers are more classic and probably my favorite version. i just need something different than my other two black face watches and i think the orange will set it off. im pretty sure on the 45.5 mm since i had no issues with a 44mm panerai. the 48mm super avenger was a tad heavy on bracelet for extended wear but im hoping the PO isnt as bad plus i can always throw the isofrane on
Who services vintage Omegas?
I had a local guy that serviced all of my vintage watches but he has gone out of business. Can anybody recommend somebody to service my treasured 105-012-66 Speedy?
