Understanding 'The Owl' RO 25572
Hi guysSo, I'm not the biggest AP lover. I've always gravitated towards JLC but I've always been a fan of 'the owl', the RO day date (with or without moon phase). I think they are works of art in their simplicity and have had a love affair with them for some time now.I've only purchased one or two brand new pieces and tend to go for vintage watches and have my eye on a 1984 steel and gold variation of the owl (25572SAO/0789SA02). As ever, I research the hell out of the watches I eventually pick up (or don't) but I've now been thrown two curve balls in my current 'owl' pursuit. The first is understanding what movement actually powers this particular RO? Having now seen the archive extract of the watch it states 2224/2810 when up to this point I believed that it was the 2124/2810 combination inside the case, particularly for one this age. Why/how could this be inside the watch?Secondly, the crown of this particular owl is gold. Again, all my research, discussions and previous watches I've
Anyone have the Ti 44 ROO on a black strap?
If could you post a few pics? Possibly also on the stock grey? Thanks!

Pam 127 or ROO Novelty 44?
177 or 176, be great to have feedback
Hi all... Newbie is finally in touch with a recommended dealer at reasonable pricesAs if narrowing down the options of all the different references wasn't enough - I've now got to decide on the intricacies within the individual references so I'm asking for help....Sandwich or painted??The 177 is g series paintedThe 176 is sandwich (not sure which year)I'm of the understanding both are discontinued as of 2014 to make way for the in-house movements and bigger cases to come...Is it true the base (176) is more sought after? Is the base look with sandwich more of the original panerai style? Is it true the painted g 177 is also special as then they went sandwich after this? Its a first Pam purchase... There is a 500 differential... Which way would you go??Thanks so much for taking the time
What a great advertisement
What a nice advertisementWhen the Swedish watch shop was exposed to a smash and grab, they took a photo of the event and printed a poster as it was in the display window in anticipation of a new window. The text says: When the desire for a Rolex is too big. Welcome through the door on the left.
