Introducing: The New Limited Edition Laurent Ferrier Galet Micro-Rotor In Platinum With Enamel Dial (Live Pics, Official Pricing)
The Galet Micro-Rotor is, without any debate, one of the finest time-only watches in the world. The finishing, which we compared in a show-down of giants against the Seiko Eichi II and Philippe Dufour Simplicity, is really just a small piece of what makes this self-winding watch so special. The case work, the natural escapement, and the stunning bridge that holds the rotor all add up to one of the most visually appealing high-end watches in the world, even more so when you take the time to study each attribute with a loupe. This movement is absolutely architectural, and now, Laurent Ferrier has taken things to the next level – think platinum case, and grand feu enamel dial. 1 OF 3 Enamel is not new for Laurent Ferrier, but it is on the Galet Micro-Rotor, having existed only on the Galet Traveller and Tourbillon previously. Below you can see one of the enamel tourbillons on my wrist, with a case of 41 mm and stunning milky white dial. 2 OF 3 Laurent Ferri
Ap 26400
Hello RFersI have a few questions to 26400 owners before i pull the trigger. I work my way down so ill end up with a diver or 42mm ROO down the line at some point so i thought why not get get a 44mm first. Personally looking for either the steel or carbon version. If someone owns the Ceramic, RG or even platinum versions feel free to answer.1) Is the watch uncomfortable for everyday use i am talking about wearing it as soon as you get up from bed and taking it off before you sleep.2)I have a 7.5 inch wrist and i found it that the watch surprisingly fits well on smaller wrists such as 6.5 inch wrists.3)If you had the choice of getting the carbon version or a steel version which one would you get and why (color of the dial, contrast sub dials etc)4)The watch is 44mm but does it really wear like a 47mm? Ive tried it once but it was close to a month ago so i don't exactly remember.5)Finally is the watch top heavy again steel vs carbon and does the strap distribute and balance the weight nic
Annual calendar appreciation thread.
Finally got my first annual calendar. So in love with it!! Let's get the party start for annual calendar!!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I can't seem to get accustomed to the small size
I'm used to 40mm+ watches.
Datejust with Day
Is it possible that Rolex may ever release a Datejust with Day and Date?Available in steel or TT only, as an interim reference to sit between the current Datejust and Day Date President models?A kind of Rolex 'Vice President' if you will. This is a watch I'd be really interested to see and I imagine they would sell really well without impacting sales to either of the other two models. What are your thoughts and is this a model you would like to see Rolex introduce?
