Is this PP Tourbillon real or fake?
I've been sent a picture of a friend who met someone wearing a PP Tourbillon, or at least what he claims to be a Tourbillon. If it is real of course, I'd love to know what the model is and learn a little more about it.Could some of the wiser heads advice what they think?I think the watch just doesn't look right.376887_10152056815125088_1607777106_n.jpg
40 year old life reflection
In a few short months I will be 40 years old and it may me realize how short life really is. I decided to get myself a 5970r. I remember just a short 15 years ago I graduated school with no money and $200,000 in student loan debt. Just 7 ears ago I purchased my first very nice watch a Zenith Chronomaster GT for 6K and I had a nervous breakdown and anxiety for several weeks. Over the years I purchased ands sold many watches until I realized it was Patek was my real love. Interestingly this purchase did not cause me any anxiety or even excitement it just felt right. I remember I was in lover the 5970r the first time I saw it years ago and I remember thinking what kind of person would spend that much money on a watch? This year I visited the Patek Museum and the really got to appreciate the perpetual chronograph and decided that I should have the watch I always wanted. How much longer will I really be on this earth. I hope my purchase inspires you to purchase the watch you always wanted.
Help me from this insanity!!!!!!!
Ever since several members, AND YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!! Have been talking about, as well as showing their lovely photos of their new 3940's. I have had the craving t get one.My first and so far only step at getting a Patek Perpetual Calendar was when I bought a 5140G about 4 years ago, at that time I thought it was going to be my finally watch!!!!Well,it wasn't to be and I did a deal which introduced me to the world of Mr FP Journe. But thats another story. Now from listening to what many members have said, and I have to agree the 3940 is a lot easier watch to read, so with that in mind I am considering trading my 5205G in against one, as and when I can find one! Please give me your thoughts on this craving and possible trade?Currently my 5205G is at the Patek service centre in the UK, having the dial exchanged for the lighter one and a light polish, so will come back looking like newPlease, fuel my desire my including as many photos and reviews as you like
Most fortunate low ball trade offer from my AD
Hi guys - long time no posts.Yesterday I visited an AD during my lunch break. I had no intention of getting a new watch. They happened to have the 39mm explorer in the case. I had been thinking about selling my 36mm to fund the 39mm for about a year. The 36mm is a z serial service by Rolex just last month. They offered me 1500.00! - and I’ve bought 6 or 8 watches from these guys over years. I was a bit shocked at that offer.Anyway - no way I’m taking that offer because I love the thing and it’s a stupid offer. So instead I now have both and to be honest I find the 2 watches to be completely different in the metal - totally different personalities. I can justify keeping both - I find them to me that different. The new one is a serious beast in comparison and it has a ton of wrist presence. I love the dial. It’s on the edge of what I would consider too big for the type of watch that it is but it’s really not too big if that makes any sense. The old one is the
