Giulio Papi Explains The New Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Laptimer Michael Schumacher Limited E
We took our first look at this watch just last May, when Audemars Piguet announced it – and we said it then and we’ll say it now, we think Audemars Piguet deserves a great deal of credit for sticking with their association with Michael Schumacher, who despite his ongoing struggle with the catastrophic injury he suffered in 2013, remains, and will always remain, one of the greatest (if not the greatest) figures in the history of motorsports. As we also said then, the Laptimer Michael Schumacher is a phenomenal technical achievement, and to help us all understand it a little bit better, we were lucky enough to be able to get a full description of the watch from none other than Giulio Papi, of Audemars Piguet Renaud & Papi, the well-known, ultra-sophisticated horological think tank that’s given us some of the most interesting watches in the world – as well as some of the most interesting watchmakers (alums include Carole Forestier-Kasapi, the brilliantly prolifi
Cut the seal: 5270g
After a few weeks of viewing the 5270g through the plastic while it sat anxiously in the safe (that was a test of one's patience!), today I finally cut the seal, breathed in some fine Geneva air, and strapped it to my wrist. Third time is a charm
Just got a new PP 3 days ago. DavidSW was kind enough to get me the new one I wanted in a few weeks. I like it more than the world time or 5711, both awesome watches, which lasted only days. The moon phase is useful as it helps with the Islamic calendar months which are lunar too. Enjoying this and thanks for all the good reading and others opinions. Regards. How do you care for your PPs...
Hi all,Was wondering if you keep all your PPs on winders (assuming they are at least annual calendars) or do you let them run out of juice if storing for much longer (circa 6m to 12m+)?Also how often do you get the spring bars replaced or take it in for a quick look at PP service? Thanks so much
Where will the crazy prices of the old Pepsi go now?
I expect a significant price dip in the preowned 5 digit Pepsi in light of the new release. What do you guys think?
