RW USA Corp. will be headed by Olivier Bernheim, president and CEO of Raymond Weil Genve and the son-in-law of the founder, Mr. Raymond Weil. Joining him will be his two sons Elie and Pierre Bernheim, the grandsons of the founder. The new company will remain headquartered at 635 Madison Avenue in New York City. We wish to thank Benny for his help establishing and developing Raymond Weil in the United States and his commitment to our brand for many years , Bernheim said. Basil 2011 reflections from an old Omega fan
In a sense, I am disappointed with the Omega introductions and Rolex as well, but on the other hand, I am delighted.First off, My Liquidmetal LE is looking better all the time. I have never had a problem with any of the seven 2500 movements I have owned, including A, B, & C versions, so the larger, thicker 8500 movement is not an attraction for me. And Ti is a deal killer for me. With all the changes to the Planet Ocean, my LM LE will be a one-of-a-kind along with only 1947 others. Thank you Omega for making it a true collectible.Certainly, the new SMP models cannot hold a candle to the classic sword hand models. And who needs any Speedy other than the Professional with the classic Lemania manual wind movement? So bottom line: I am quite happy with my LM, my 2255.80, and my Speedy Pros.Omega's Rolex marketing decisions have made me ask If Omega wants to be like Rolex, why not buy Rolex? That is why I have recently added two classic discontinued Rolex models to my collection,
Long Overdue Success Story - Extra Sauce 5711
Ive been after a 5711 in blue for a number of years, but always refused to pay over retail. Principal I suppose, maybe I'm just really really stubborn. I bought a 15202 (wore it 5 times over the course of a year, mostly for instagram pictures and then sold it) sent full msrp deposits to Ads who were entirely full of it and promised delivery inside 9 months, but mostly just whined incessantly to my WIS friends about how this watch had eluded me for so many years. I occasionally pestered my original AD who's list I had been put on, but was typically told that there were still people in front of me. Fast forward to this september, Prices are in the 33-37k range and I've given up. Bitching to WIS friends continues, SORRY hairdude, horologyandtechnology and bzabodyn214, I just can't help myself. Fast forward to this past september and I get a phone call from that original AD who says nothing more than, I need your credit card please Yes, yes you can have my credit card, TAKE IT ALREADY. My
Patek & Grand Seiko
I'd like to know if any Patek owners owns a Grand Seiko as well?Any model would do though i'm looking at a Calatrava against similar style Grand Seiko. If you do, a side-by-side photo would be a nice inclusion.Qn:If you do own both, what are the similarities and differences in terms of fit, finish, form, aesthetics, emotion and anything else you guys could come up with...Grand Seiko do not sell their watches in a place where I could compare both side-by-side in the flesh. So your input is much appreciated. Thank you.
Nautilus or Aquanaut wall clocks...do they exist?
Did patek ever make a wall clock for AD's or Salons of the naut or aqua?
