What Happened At The First Apple Watch WatchKit OS Hackathon
November 18th 2014 marked the release of Apple's WatchKit in preparation for their Apple Watch smart watch scheduled to launch in Spring 2015. The WatchKit is a resource for software application developers to begin creating apps specially made for the Apple watch. This was an exciting event because it not only gave the community more information about the upcoming Apple Watch product, but heralded a new era of creativity where developers will leverage the unique qualities of a wearable Apple device in considering the best ways to create exciting apps that may help transform where the wearable market is going. watches-dealer was there to check it out.In anticipation of the WatchKit's release, Ben Morrow, an ambitious entrepreneur of Silicon Valley, hosted the world's first Apple WatchKit OS Hackathon. For those unfamiliar, a Hackathon is an event which gathers programmers, project managers, and graphic designers to collaborate and develop projects for new software and upcoming products.
Oris John Coltrane Limited Edition Review
When last we looked at an Oris, it was the beautiful beast known as the Aquis Regulateur Der Meistertaucher. This solid titanium diver impressed with its unique design and flawless execution. When I think of Oris, that is the type of piece that comes to mind. Whether an modern and advanced diver, or a clean and crisp pilot, the Oris' that are most commonly seen are in the sport variety. Today, we're going to take a look at a watch that is very different from that, showing off the brand's versatility. The Oris John Coltrane Limited Edition was first introduced at Basel World a couple of years ago that immediately caught our attention. As part of their line of LE watches that are inspired by famous Jazz musicians, the Coltrane is a 50's style dress watch with very subtle hints at its patron musician. The design begins it inspiration with Coltrane's seminal album, Blue Train, which was released in 1957, setting the stage for the era for the aesthetic. The design draws on classic designs fro
Ask: Can't set the date when both hands are up, is it normal?
Hi, I can't seem to move the date wheel when both the hour and minute hands are pointing upwards, for example 12. I had to move the hour and minute hands to point down at about 4 to 8 first before I can adjust the date wheel. Is it normal? I can adjust the date anytime with my rolex with the hour and minute hand anywhere.Any advice is very much appreciated. Thanks!
New omega owner, and lots of concerns
I have a placed an order from amazon and purchased an omega sea-master quartz 22218000(but still didn't receive it). I prefer automatic watches but i couldn't get myself to pay for the 2220.8000 so i chose the less expensive one, but i got a bit upset when i realised that the 2221.8000 wasnt worn by daniel craig, and it was worn by pirece brosnan. Anyhow, can you help learn about my watch? any information about this model or about the brand itself would be usefull. Moreover, do you know if Amazon is a trusted seller of omegas (even though its not an AD)? and did i make a good choice (keeping in mind that i dont care about the co xial movement, neither the warranty, i just need a luxury and stylish premium brand watch that i can wear all week, and not getting very concerned about getting it scratched, in such case of buying an expensive rolex submariner).
Daytona Black or white ?
Well I've finally reached the top spot at my AD for the Daytona and he emailed me the other day and asked me which colour dial I'd like.I used to own the non ceramic black version of the Daytona and struggled to read the time in poor light , I still think the black looks better but I'm now being drawn to the white dial.Any thoughts guys ?
