Sinn U200 B (EZM 8) Limited Edition Diver With Blue Dial
Sinn U200B on strapThere are two things about this watch that make it worth sharing. First off, the limited-edition galvanized matte blue dial. Normally sold in black, this version (ref EZM 8) is only available through December 31, 2013. Secondly, despite having a full 2000m (over a mile!) depth rating, the U200 is a svelte 37mm case.In what I think is a first for Sinn, it's sold with a matching blue and white NATO strap.Sinn U200B on NatoOne more of that combo:Sinn U200B on NatoNATOs aren't my favorite, but they're super popular and inexpensive, and an easy way to change your look. I do quite like that Sinn is getting a tiny bit bolder with color. This is a versatile and attractive look. The watch comes with both silicone and NATO along with tool to change them, and I can vouch that authorized dealers sell Sinn bracelets (around $400) if you want one.On the size, 37mm is usually labelled as "mid-size" for brands that make them, e.g. Omega Seamaster. AP for Invicta!!
On way into work this morning, a kind fellow caught a glimpse of my just recently acquired Diver. He comments, nice Invicta! To which I quickly reply, thanks! $50 on QVC!! You can't imagine how happy he was to hear this... Gotta love it!!
Impact of replacement cases on valuation
Hi all,Just wanted to get an expert's opinion on this as I can't seem to find a clear quantitative answer online (other than all-original, triple-signed watches being generally more valuable). If I were to buy a Patek with an original movement and dial, but a replaced case, by how much should I haircut the original value, and how much would that impact its potential resale value? The new case is in 18-kt gold, also Swiss-made, if that matters. The condition is great otherwise. Thanks all! Cathy

Market Pricing?
Is there a thread which gives an overview of market pricing, like what discounts to expect from retailers? Or particular values in the used market?I was looking at some recent offerings on Calatravas. (Yes I'm already planning the next, a week after nabbing the 5296). I noticed the 6000G, while not my favorite, was substantially reduced from retail. At the other end, a 3-yr old 5196 is offered at a price that seems higher than what one might expect to buy new.I suppose such an overview of pricing is too monumental for a thread topic, but I thought I'd ask. Probably better off asking on individual pieces...Well, if anyone has input feel free to chime in. Otherwise I'll sit and listen to the crickets....
