New Navy ROO - easy colour to use?
Hi,I am brand new to the AP brand, tried some on yesterday and wow, I fell in love!!I love the rose gold Royal oak with leather strap, but I think a better starting point would be a Royal Oak Offshore - lower entry price and better daily watch for my lifestyle. I love the rubber strap on a premium watch, very cool.So I am now considering a few models, the new navy dial + navy strap 26470 - which I have found for ?14k for a brand new one.The others are the 26170 Navy and the 26170 Panda - both costing about ?10k for a used one.So I have a couple of questions.(1) Does anyone have any experience of using this new navy ROO? I tried it on yesterday and it looked amazing, but I had a blue t-shirt and jeans on, so naturally it matched perfectly! I just wonder when using other colour clothes if the blue ends up clashing or if it still looks just as good? How easy is it to use basically I want to know, as I intend to use it as my daily watch and put my YG GMT-IIC to rest for special occasions.(
Speedmaster Availability in London and Paris
Hi all, I am travelling to London and Paris next week on holiday and am in the market for a Speedmaster. I know there are lot of variants however I am looking for the traditional Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch. From my reading on this forum it sounds like Rolex sport watches are in a bit of a shortage in these cities but wasn't sure about Omega. Can you please advise if you are from either area or have been recently how strong my chances are of finding one in either city? Also does anyone know the MSRP in London or Paris for this model? Thanks.
Omega resale value
There is no denying that Omega produces high quality, great looking watches. That said, from a resale perspective, they just don't seem to match up to Rolex. Is this purely a gap in marketing or is it something else? Do you think Omega will ever catch up in the sale market?I'm becoming more of an Omega fan each day but resale value is definitely a consideration for me - what do you guys & gals think?
Which Perpetual Calendar Chrono?
Hi guysNice to join you, I am Andrea, italian based in LondonIt has been a lot of time I have thought of buying a Patek Chrono and I am finally ready to do it My first choice would be the 5970 (either a G or a P) but, given the attractive second market price of the 5270 I was also recently looking into it..Aesthetically wise I would go for the 5970.. From an investment point of view I am excited about the 5270's first in house movement and think that sooner or later it will recover in value.. I heard that maybe at Baselworld next year also the P version will come outI am aware that you had a lot of similar discussions in the past but I would like to hear your updated thoughts given also today's prices and new models Thank you all and have a great Sunday
Sport watch for every day... max 40mm
I'm stuck ! I have a 39 mm OP Blue dial - love it ! Almost too much to wear every day Also have a Tudor Black bay blue ...The Sub no date would be a good choice but I have tried it on several times and find it just too large for me The black bay is a tad large but wearable / sub is just bigger I'd like to stay in the current line up - Thought abut the Explorer ? It's in the running but something about it has not clicked What else should be in the running ?.... I'd like to stay with Rolex
